Hi there! Just a point of correction...Barrack Obama is the fifth youngest person to ascend to the US presidency at 47yrs, 5months and 16days old. There were 4 others before him who were younger as of the date of their first inauguration. These are:- Ulysses S. Grant (46yrs) - he was the 18th president of the USA Theodore Roosevelt (42yrs) - ascended to the president after the assasination of William McKinley. He was the 22nd president of the USA & the youngest man to ascend to the presidency of the USA John F Kennedy (43yrs) - he was the 35th president of the USA Bill Clinton (46yrs) - he was the 42nd president of the USA Barrack Obama (47yrs) - 44th President of the USA SO as you can see, the youngest ever to be president was 42 yrs. As to whether we shall see a younger office than the youngest that we have already seen above remains to be seen. But as Obama has taught us, "YES WE CAN!"

Well, the Constitution requires someone to be at least 35 years old. I think this is a good law. I think we may see someone younger than Obama and JFK in office eventually. I think 45-55 is a very appropriate age for a President of the United States. Experience is a very important factor for someone of such power. It is hard to gain the experience before the age of 40, however, it may be easier in the future with the changes in communication technology and knowledge available to the public. I would have a hard time voting for someone who had just turned 35, but if the right person came along, I would vote for them.

Yeah, I agree. I feel a president should be 45 to 55 in order to be taken seriously, also at that age should be mature enough to deal with all the rigors that come with the job. I hard to imagin a US president younger than 40yrs old.

JFK was elected when he was 43, which would make him the youngest president ever.

I don't think America would ever elect a younger president than Obama, mostly because i don't think we could trust an young / inexperienced president with the fate of our country. I'm fine with having older presidents, because they have gained the knowledge and had the experiences necessary to be an alright leader. I know people thought Bush was a bad President, but in reality, a younger person would have done a much worse job considering the turmoil during Bush's presidency.

If I remember correctly, Barack Obama is the youngest and all, and the limit or rwequirement is 46. I guess ti is possible, I mean look how far he has risen in the campaign. Many people claim as it is that he is too young to know how to run things.

According to the US Constitution a president cannot be younger than 45. Kennedy was in his 40s also.
