What to pack for hospital

Soon it would be time for me to pack my bags for hospital. My first was born overseas where I could only use hospital issued gowns and all the rest. So I have no idea. Yes I have the list that hospitals give but I need some practical things. Like if I am going to use my gowns what kind (buttons, v-neck) also what colour If I use light colours would they stain or use dark. After the birth is it more comfortable to use pj's or gowns (considering I will have at least 30 visitors). What other things did you find usefull?
