Has your handwriting turned ugly?

I have noticed many people writing very ugly and superficial these days. My handwriting isn't trained for years and the reason is TYPING. After we finish a school we forget to write with a hand. Typing has became so common for us that handwriting destiny is unsafe.

I have two kinds of handwriting. One of them looks okay, and the other one is really ugly. I am a writer and I always carry my notebook and my pen in my bag, so that I can write down my ideas etc straight away. When I am writing the first draft for something by hand I write really fast, because I don't want to forget the words before I write them down. In those cases my handwriting is very ugly, and sometimes it is hard for me to read my own handwriting

I agree completely that the use of computers has had a major impact on the quality of people's handwriting. I am told often that I have nice handwriting and I don't purposely concentrate on it or anything. It's just how I write LOL I think it would be beneficial if kids were still encouraged to handwrite assignments in school. Teachers ask more and more often for homework to be typed and printed and I'm sure it makes grading papers MUCH easier for them, rather than struggling to read poor handwriting... but I do believe that, if you don't practice, your handwriting will just get worse and worse. Kids should be encouraged to acquire good skills before they are pushed up to a keyboard :)
