Here in our place there are plenty of snakes. Its not the poisonous type. They come from the python family. Often, some of our neighbors can catch a snake attacking there roosters or chicken. When they do, some guys here would usually kill the snake and cook it. They also eat it. A lot of them told me that its great tasting and it gives a lot of health benefits. I am often offered to eat the snake meat. But I never have the guts to eat it. How about you? Have you eaten a snake already?

hello there max! I am not familiar with rocky mountain oysters. Please pardon me for my ignorance. Can you give me an idea as to what it is? The oysters that I am familiar of are the ones found in the sea. Are they as exotic as the snake?

same thing here mariafe. I heard that it does taste good. But what keeps me from eating it is the appearance. It always comes to my mind how mean and it looks even if its already cooked.

I was told by my Parents that I did when I was a kid and I love it! LOL! My uncle used to catch one who also attach their chicken and used to cook it. But,I've never seen them doing that when I was already matured, maybe their appetite change but they told me, it taste good really once there is a lot of ingredients and the cook is great!

Hi there checapricorn, I guess you were innocent way back then. Although the people on our place who have eaten the snake said that it does taste good. In my case, its not about the taste. I can even tolerate other foods that does not taste well. It is more perhaps the knowledge of eating the snake that makes me puke.

hahaha, I see your point violeta. It seems that the looks along would make you feel like not eating at all. I have eaten an eel. Usually it is prepared with a lot of spices and sauce. But with the snake, I really don't have the guts to do it.

I have. My father bought one for me - he even had me watch how they skinned it and drained its blood. Then they had it cooked - the meat tastes a lot like chicken, only that it has more bones. It's actually good and only if someone can prepare it better for me - someone who actually knows how to bring out its real flavor, then I'd like to have some again :) Thanks for the response on my discussion!

It just about me. I find it hard to take it considering the appearance. Thank you likewise for the reponse and best to you always.

I see. Well, it would perhaps be interesting to taste a cook snake. But I guess, I would not be able to do so. Yes, that is perhaps one concern that we will be thinking should we eat the snake, the kind of things that they have eaten.
