Okay, so about this time almost every year i come down with an awefull sinus infection and get massive headaches, not migranes, just pounding sinus headaches. So far, i haven't gotten sick once this winter. Until now, i feel the symptoms of a sinus infection coming on. Aching neck tension, pounding headache between the eyes and sensitivity in and around my nose...I've tried tylonal sinus, advil, green tea, taking lots of vitamins... Does any one know any type of tricks to keep this infection from coming on? And that doesnt include going to the doctors and getting prescription, they alway just knock me for a loop. Any suggestions? Please.

This happens to me each time I have an allergy attack coming on (I didn't develop allergies until I was in my 20's -- grr). I take Clariton or the generic, whichever I can afford, as soon as I feel it coming on and it relieves all the symptoms immediately. Then, to ward off any colds that might be coming around the corner as the seasons change, I do the 2 week Airborne routine. Everyday I take a multi-vitamin in the morning just to be on the safe side. I haven't had a cold since August, and I've only had one bad allergy attack since September.

I also take Clariton only up until the point when winter starts to begin and all the plants die. I'll try taking one and see if thats what the whole ordeal is. Thanks for your advise :)

I would suggest getting a massage. Seriously, I know this guy who is capable of giving them pretty well; but you probably won't be able to see him until the weekend. I don't get them all that frequently and I don't take medicine, so I can't really give much advice. Sorry.
