Have You Ever Just Had One Of Those Days?!?!

Today, well, it wasn't the best of days. It started off by me going out to my car and my windshield wipers were frozen to my windshield. It took me a few extra minutes this morning to get them all cleaned off so I could see out of my windshield. So by doing that, it put me running late for work, so I wound up being 12 minutes late. I finally got to work and the guy I work with was all upset and I asked him what was wrong. He said that our supervisor was standing around cussing me out because I wasn't at work yet. I can't repeat what he said that she was saying, but believe me, it was very uncalled for. So, that upset me a little especially since she kept coming to me and trying to strike up a friendly conversation with me. Can you say, "two-faced"? So, I go to start working on my orders for today and I realize that they are all mixed up. See, yesterday I had already had some of the orders picked but when I came in today the warehouse manager mixed the orders that I had picked with orders that hadn't been picked yet. It was just a HUGE mess. Later on, I got paged to call the warehouse manager. He said that UPS called and complained about the truck that I loaded yesterday. I tried to explain to him why I had to load it the way that I did and he just said, "Well, don't let it happen again". Okay, I do my best that's all I can do. Now, I finally made it to the end of the day. I find out that my supervisor is going to try and send me to another department probably starting next week. Well, she can't do that. We have a Union and she has to go by seniority if she is going to do something like that, so if she does try to do it then if I choose to I can fight it. I haven't decided what I will do if she does do it. That is just a short summary of my day. But have you ever had one of those days, when you wake up in the morning you just know that you would have a better day if you just called into work instead of going? I honestly regretted going to work today.

I really wish we had a closet in our homes where we could just go into and start the day over. Today I woke up and thought it was going to be a good day. I finally got good sleep , woke up refressed got in the truck the kids hopped in opened the garage pulled out and the dog one thing would not close. It is broken.....I am so mad extremely mad! The kids where late for school we could not get the garage down and We go into the house from the garage which if I left the house open anybody can just walk in my house while I am dropping kids off. I have one day till payday and we have to try to make this door work for one more day until I can get it repaired. Yes I understand how you can have one of those days. Because I am having one of those day to. We need that closet!

I'm so sorry that you had such a rough go today. Take comfort in the fact that you survived. I am lucky(imagine me knocking on wood right now) that I haven't had one of those days for a while. The last time was when I moved back to Chicago. I won't go into the massive details, but it ends up with me having to put my matress on the floor because I can't get the boxspring thru the stairwell, and me knocking one of the bedframe supports(for the boxspring I can't get up the stairwell) into the flatscreen LCD tv and tearing a big gash through it. I was in tears! The best thing to do is to do something nice for yourself. Take a long bath, eat something you really want even if it's not good for you, go out and buy yourself a book or movie or some silly magazines or any little something that you normally would say that you wouldn't want to spend the money on. Be good to yourself, you earned it.

Yesterday was one of those days for me. It seemed like my house just was going crazy....first everytime I opened a cupboard storage containers attacked me so I stopped what I was doing and restacked them only for them to still fall on me everytime I opened the cupboard, then I went to do laundry and during the spin cycle the washer decided to dance around the laundry room (I got it back in place but OH MY BACK), also as of yesterday I had not slept for 4 days (finally did sleep last night about the only positive thing that happened!) lets see next the wind picked up and blew all my plants all over the porch, then during dinner was draining vegetables got a steam burn and 1/2 the veggies went into the sink, later tried to get online and could not discovered someone turned off the switch to my dsl......It's all in a day of life...But I just keep plugging along..so far today is being more cooperative. Hope today is better for you.

It sounds like a horrible day! One bad day I remember at work was a day I couldn't go at all - because I got up in the morning and walked outside and my CAR was missing! I called my ex (he was hubby at the time) at work and freaked out so badly he didn't even realize it was ME! Then I called the police and it took them over an hour to arrive. During that time I called my work and told them my car had been stolen and I was waiting for the police. This whole time I am crying and hyperventilating - I had bought the car about TWO MONTHS AGO! My lead had the NERVE to ask me to come to work! I told her 'didn't you HEAR me? My CAR is GONE!' and she goes 'well, can't somebody pick you up?' Ha ha ha ha. So I still had to wait for the police to arrive and after THAT I had to call the car rental place so they could pick me up and do paperwork for a rental. By the time I had a CAR again, the workday was almost over. People at my job gave me crap for almost TWO WEEKS. I did not even get my car back (found) for a month, and then it was in the shop being fixed for another 2 weeks because the stupid assessor did not get over to the shop to look at the damages and write estimates for the shop so the ins co could cut them checks! Everybody was so nice to me, the officer, the car rental rep, and the people I spoke with from the ins company, but I felt violated, I think the only thing worse is getting assaulted or having your house broken into...

I've had days like that. I don't envy you any for yours. Usually when I have a day that starts like that it just gets worse and worse as the day goes on. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for you.

It´s just happening to me. Today it was rainning a lot here and my boss came to ask me to go to the center pick up a document for him. Well I took looooots of rain showers to go till the bus stop and taking the bus and then going to the place to get the document that is really far from the bus stop. I already got a sore throat so imagine how I am now. I got back to the office all wet, my hair is wet, my shoes and clothes are wet (I was not prepared for the rain, here where I live it almost never rains) and I feel I am probably with a little fever. You know I should have stayed home today.

How about we just round it all up and call it "one of those lives"? Or do-overs... I would be fine if we could call do-overs on the types of days like you had. Seriously, hopefully things will be better for you. Maybe going to the other department might be a good thing, to get away from the two-faced supervisor.
