one day without television

A couple of weeks ago our tv reception was actually out for about 5 days (the satelite dish was frozen over with snow). You never realize just how important it is. I admit, it's really how I wind down my day. I'll lay in bed with the tv on and literally veg-out. I let go of everything in my mind and just watch and relax. The really tough day in that period was when the internet was down for us and our tv had not yet been restored. Boy, I think I went to sleep at like 7pm.

I won't have my cable back until tomorrow, because the bill is overdue and I get no money until tomorrow. I am not finding as difficult as one would think. I have the internet and videos to keep me company. Granted, I will be glad to get it back on.

I think I would be able to survive, only because I would put my mind to staying busy with reading, working, or art. Television has definitely increased the media channels that it offers to all age groups and it is amazing to see how many different types of news channels, t.v. series, and different categories there are to choose from now that television has advanced so much. It is very important in our life, and for some this is the only way to stay current on all of the events that are occurring in our world, so you have a great point. But, internet has taken a big step in producting productive information, cartoons, and the fact that we can watch movies and t.v. on the Internet, I'd say, it would be really hard to go without watching t.v thanks to the Internet. Thanksfully, I was able to get un-addicted to TV after I started doing things on internet... Well, I am still addicted to something but at least in this case I am doing something, not just passively watch TV shows..
