This was the news last night that really surprised me. There was an explosion caused by an accident that happened in a Fireworks Factory in there. To date there is about 8-9 deaths and many are wounded because of this. Even the nearby hospital about a kilometer away from the blast site did felt the shock wave that their glass door and windows were shattered by it. The City government office was also hit by the wave as well. At ground zero a large crater was formed and the two trucks that were parked there disappeared and not one piece of the truck was found at the blast site. The firecracker manufacturer is a known fireworks manufacturer and is considered to be safe as they claimed it. It is sad that they were not able to keep it safe in their own factory.

Hello rsa101! I heard the news last night too and it's really terrifying. I saw the explosion of the video of ABS - CBN and I couldn't believe it. I guess right now they are investigating it.

Yeah I guess it was shown in all the channels. It is really a very frightening scene for the residents and nearby towns and city of that factory. The whole Trece Martires was shocked to hear about that incident as they were the ground zero.

that is terrible. i really dont think we should have so many fireworks being made in this world. not the ones that blow up and are dangerous. why do we need them. should be other ways to celebrate.

What is ironic in this company is that these company has won many awards in competing with various fireworks competition and they do a lot of fireworks display for a lot of the famous malls here in the metropolis so I guess its really not an assurance that they do produce a fool proof accident free products because they themselves became a victim of it.

i saw the news and was kind of shock for i dont know that there is a fireworks factory there. my father is from bocaue bulacan the home of fireworks factory. he does not work there but their is always a commotion of fires and explosion almost every year. i think the goverment needs to double check factories like this before they operate and continiuosly checking after every six months for the safety of people working there.

You are right about that I guess the industry should start looking and monitoring their safety so that this incident would be prevented from escalating that is as big as this one. I am just sad that this thing happened. i know of the brand because I see this brand in the malls last year and I thought they were made from abroad.

I heard about it and I had seen it over the news. Maybe the manufacturing did not follow some guidelines. I hope this will become a good examples to some company producing explosives, they have to be very careful and follow safety precautions to avoid this incident.

How sad! This is not the first of that kind of explosion in a Fireworks company. I don't know how this could be prevented? But if I were to ask, I'd rather just minimize the factories allowed to make this and they must be closely monitored if they are following and observing safety rules.

You are right about that. I guess this is the first time in Cavite that they have this kind of factory and they are popular and I could even see their products being sold in famous malls in here. I thought they were imported but realized that their factory is in Cavite. Well I guess wake up call to our government agency to make a more stricter rules when it comes to this factories.
