Now That the Series Is Almost Over...

...let's take a walk down memory lane and reminisce about the things that drew us to this show and kept us there or pulled us back. Like some others who have posted here, there have been times during ER's long run when I've found myself losing interest a bit, when "must see" TV wasn't such a "must" anymore. However, I kept on watching and I don't think I've ever missed an episode even if I did miss a few the first time around. Now that the show will soon be coming to an end, what do you think will happen? Will they tie all the loose ends up in a neat little knot or will it just end like a normal busy day or night in the ER and leave us to assume everything will just continue to go on as always? Do you have a favorite character? Storyline? Couple? Episode? On the other side of the coin, is there anything or anyone that or who annoys you or drives you crazy? Who do you most hope shows up for one final appearance? OK, is there anyone who hope someone BESIDES George Clooney stops by? Anything else you'd like to talk about regarding ER? Annie

This has always been a must see show for me. I would love for Kem to come back to Chicago to see John and make up. They were so cute together. It was nice to see some of the old characters, Carole and Doug, and Lizzie Corday. I would like Cate to get her baby finally. I know she is new, but I like her. I think she will adopt the baby of that teenage girl but let the girl see him. Archie is just so funny! I loved him at the Cardiac Camp on his "date" with Claudia. I would love to see more of his "kids", the ones that are alive as a result of sperm donations. They were cute. I think they will think of an amazing ending for the series. They can't let it go with a whimper after so many years. It was nice to see some of the deceased characters in flashbacks too. I want Simon to be happy. I am not sure he can after Neela left. Maybe with the heart patient whose daughter he bonded with so much?

I agree with everything you said. Including the retrospective, its going to be on for 3 hours tomorrow; I'll probably spend about 2 hours and 45 minutes of it crying. I've thought this is the past but was reminded in the last episode - Archie can really sing, can't he? I agree about Simon but I'm so glad Neela is with Ray finally! Annie

The only time I ever watched ER was when George Clooney was on thee and after he went, I lost interest. I must say that ER seeems like those oriental rug stores that are always going out of business but never quite go. Wasn't it supposed to have had it's last season a couple times before this?

I don't recall it ever being said that it was the last season before but I could be wrong. The show had its "off-years" when it wasn't as good as during the Clooney era but it's been really good this season. Annie
