Well my daughter just started high school and it cost a fortune for her school uniform. When she was at her friends house yesterday, her friend was using nailpolish and was mucking around and got a bit on my daughter's school dress. It is her summer dress and is made of cotton,I was wondering if anyone had any ideas how I could get it out,I was thinking of using nailpolish remover but don't know if that would take the colour out of her dress, any way any ideas would be greatly appreciated,do you have any ideas? Have you ever had this problem before?

I have never had this problem and I wonder if any of the solvents will help?

Can you try the nail-polish remover on a similar piece of material first? Or perhaps just try a tiny bit on the inside of the hem where it won't show.

Try hairspray. Hairspray gets pen, and marker out of clothes. The nail polish might rip the cotton fabric if you scrub too hard, so you want to be gentle. But try the hairspray. Hope it works.
