8 glasses of water a day??

They say to a way to help you lose weight is to drink more water...on average we are suppose to consume 8 glasses of water a day, of course water is good for us and it helps flush out our system therefore helping us lose weight. But really, water is boring....LOL, I can not drink so much water a day...and in the winter it is near impossible!! Do you get in your 8 glasses of water a day?

Yes, I do drink 8 glasses of water or tea each day, I sometimes even drink more than that, I just like to drink it not forcing myself to drink it. I think it helps to clean out the body and it is a healthy way to do so.

Yes, I do drink about 8 glasses of water a day... Yes, water is boring but water is also healthy... I continue to be on a water therapy.

I think if you can...more power to you and how much better off you will be....I have been doing so much better with flavored waters and I know it is helping with my weight loss and maintainging. thanks for the response and keep up the good work.

No, not at all. I would be doing good to get 3 glasses of water. That is probably why I eat so much. My mom started drinking her 8 glasses and she said that it fills her up so she drinks less.

i think it is easier to drink water in the summer months when it is really hot out, but it is so hard to get even a bottle of water a day for me. thanks for responding!!

Some days I do. I find it helps to bring a nalgene with me everywhere I go because then I am more likely to drink from it and not realize I've drank so much. I completely agree, water is boring, though. I do like those little sugarfree packets that you can mix in your bottle of water... but still, so much fluid doesn't always sound that great.

I dont drink so many glasses. I ensure I drink enough so that I dont get dehydrated. Your body instinctively knows how much food or water it requires. Even If you drink more, you will want to pee more. Of course drinking more water helps in flushing the toxins out of your system, but there is a limit to the amount of water one can drink. Go by your instinct. :)

I have been doing better this summer -- not 8 glasses a day but I am doing flavored waters instead of soda pop and I do feel better during the day. thanks for the response and happy mylotting.

I think my problem is not drinking enough water. I think I only two glass of water per day, which is only if I remember to drink some. Normally in a day, I would have a sip here and there but not much. My brother drinks the 8 glass per day though and he said that it really helps with his eating. He doesn't eat as much as he did before, so it kind of helped him regulate his eating habits. If drinking eight glasses of water per day would really help me lose weight, then I'm going to start doing that. I haven't found a system which really works yet for me. So maybe I'll give this a try. And hey, water is as healthy as it gets, not like those body-harming diet pills right? :D
