Irresponsible people should get a conscious

Monday I ran up against a situation that shows some people have no conscious. I went shopping, parked my car walked 3 blocks (the store was closed!) walked back and found the passenger window shattered, broken glass all over the inside of my car, but no note or anyone around to admit fault. Would you leave a note? Or at least hang around for the car owner if you were responsible? The car was unlocked and there was nothing worth stealing in the car. When my brother ( a mechanic) checked it out for me he said there was a stone on the floor and most likely someone was horsing around on the ice in the parking lot and their tire spun the rock up. I have never driven away, even when just tapping a bumper and leaving no damage. Why can't people take responsibility for what they do?

Do you think they really saw what happened and then left on purpose.. Maybe they were sliding on the ice and didn't notice it.. And then again maybe not, and your brother might be right about them horsing around and then just leaving after seeing what they had done to your windshield.. Whatever happed to get the windshield broke, it is broken anyway and you have to pay for it, and that is the not fair part, I think that is awful.. I do agree with you, I would have to have left a note or offered to get it fixed for you, it would have been my fault and I couldn't have just in good conscience just left it and went on.. Sorry that had to happen to you..

I would have waited for the owner. If it was an accident, like a tire spinning up a rock, those things happen. But i still would have waited on the owner. Maybe the person did not know that they had spun a rock and broke someone's window, but maybe they did it on purpose. There are some children who take more responsibility than some adults. Sorry this happened to you.
