I think that we are our own biggest threat. Humans seemingly refuse to live frugally, always wanting more and more, we are continuallty worrying about what others are doing instead of taking care of our own first, and we seem to have a big problem with allowing someone to be a little more advanced in technological areas. We sap the Earth of natural resources, we are quite greedy, and lets face it, we thrive on war and disease. The more things we see that are bad, the more we pay attention to the news. I know that there are many people left in the world who do not fit the descrption I have given, but in general, we are our own worst enemies and the detriment to our own species. I really feel that we have no one to blame but our own human race for the things that are happening around us. War could be avoided if one country didn't always feel the need to be better or more powerful than another, disease may not be preventable, but the spread of it is if we simply stay away from others when we know that we are seriously ill, the polution and climate changes may be inevitable, but the progress would be much slower if we were all more mindful of the natural resources we have and weren't so greedy as to want to continually use the resources. Unwanted pregnancy could be avoided in most cases by simply taking precautions to avoid pregnancy, and I think that there would be a lot less violence if it wasn't so widely publicized. My theory is that if humans, as a whole, payed more attention to the good things that happen day to day, the goodness would spread and over time, mankind could save itself from extinction.

I have say that terrorism. Why? Because terrorism is in every angle. We don't know where the terrorist are coming in to blow themselves. AIDS is not a threat unless you are not greed in flesh. I think global warming, is not threat because that is a phenomenon that never predict it changes. God, only knows how he changes our universe. That is God, will so that is not a threat but it is a warning for us to change not the climate change...climate change is predicted on the bible. So, I am not wonder why is that happen. Terrorism really is threat to human lives...natural consequences of losing lives is unpredictable but terrorist killed even children without mercy

Well, syeryn makes a good point as far as what the greatest threat to mankind is, being ourselves. However, I think that the greatest threat to mankind is evolution. Earth Shifting on It's Axis. http://www.divulgence.net/ I think that if it really shifts, we are doomed. Mountains will crumble and we will be under water. Second to that, I feel that having a meteor hit earth could have devastating effects. Unlike man being the greatest threat, these threats are beyond any mans control.

Hello,Rupesh! The greatest threat to mankind is global warming. The environmental scientists have predicted that if some strong measures are not taken by the big and developed nations the global warming would go on and on and by another fifty years the world would face the complete annihilation of living beings. So it is the greatest threat to mankind.thanx.

Man remains the greatest threat to mankind. I have thought this way since I was a teenager and my thoughts on it havent changed in many years. We pose the greatest threat to ourselves.

I am going to have to say terrorism. it is not a threat of occuring often, however, it is something that is always on someone's mind. It is an item, that will be looked down upon as bad, crue, hell, and just stupid for many reasons. But, the fact is noone can truly get alone with each other, that is why the United Nations were built, to help structure certain limits, however, even that is going ot hell and back.
