We chinese have two birthdays, the other is by lunar calendar, though the latter not often remembered or celebrated for young people. How many birthdays do you have a year? How do you spend your birthday, at home or in pub with friends?

One, only one and that is quite enough as they come round too quickly!

Just like in China we too in India have two birthdays, one according to the English calendar and the other according to the lunar calendar which in our Indian language is caleed as " tithi ".However almost all people celebrate according to the date ie the English calendar as it is more convenient and also easy to remember. Tha date according to tithi varies every year so unless one is aware of the Indian calendar its difficult to celebrate on that particular day. I also have been celebrating according to the english calendar but since the last twenty years have stopped celebrating it completely. Most of my friends do not even know my birthday date and only a handfull wish me, but i have stopped bothering about it.I have never been to a pub czuse i do not drink and my birthday passes off like any other day.

I believe I was only born once and so only have one birth day. Most of the time I don't celebrate my birthdays in a grand style by calling friends to celebrate but I only offer prayers of thanksgiving for reaching another milestone in my years of existence.
