Do you dress for style or comfort?

Oh clothes!! How we love clothes! When I was younger, never really got interested about clothes, I only want to have Barbies and play with my dollhouse. I would even get disappointed if I'd get a pair of shirt and shorts on my birthday. But now I'm older, I'd appreciate more the importance of clothes, not only about dresses. Gives the person the style, the personality, and as who she is. I'm a type of person, that could live by wearing only wife beater top and low rise jeans. I feel comfortable with those. However, these days, we also have to live by the style. Not exactly becoming a trendsetter, you know, like Nicole Richie or Victoria Beckham, I mean more of wearing it on something appropriate, specifically, occasion or an event. We need style not only comfort, to give impression, especially at work. However, if we only live a simple life, I'd absolutely go for comfort with no doubt! I'd still always want to think that Less is more!

I only live a simple life, so I'd go for comfort...of course, I definitely want fashionable clothes but for some reasons I just dress simply because as you have said it gives the person the impression of who she is. (^_^)

True to that! You have always been an inspiration to me when I get overboard my lifestyle. I just look up to you.. You don't know about this, because I don't show it. I always thank you deep in my heart for being a good inspiration... I like you being simple and that makes you a way better and true person!

Hi Smooch, Oh, how I love clothes and shopping! When I'm out, I dont really feel comfortable unless I'm at least a little in style. I try to leave a good impression when I'm out. I do agree that when it comes to clothes, less is more! Hugs, Tianna

Well i do prefer clothes that suits me but not to forget the comfort level to i think its goes like this that if you feel comfortable and you feel that you are looking good then you feel good and that reflects as well and other person too feels that you are looking good today so its as simple as that.....

hi smooch091784 i don't think style and comfort are different.I think there is a relation between them.According to me one can shop clothes which suits their style and even take care of their comfort.I would consider picking up clothes that gives me both comfort and style!!!!!!!! good day!!!

jeans. drawn in Photoshop - digital drawing by me
I for one prefer comfort. If a comfortable dress happens to be the style in vogue, there is nothing like it for me. By the way Jeans are the ones that comply with my choice

I would like to thnk that at least SOME of the time, I manage to find a good balance between both style AND comfort. When it comes to work attire though, it's more about looking the part rather than comfort (suits etc aren't really comfortable to be wearing all day no matter how hard you try to go for style/comfort in the one go!) but at home I'll always go for comfort and couldn't really care less about how it all looks! lol.

When I was a kid i didn't have time to dress up that much.. but when i grew up i'v started to dress up for comfort.. yes, i always dress up for comfort.. i always like wearing comfy clothes( basic tee and knock off jeans) to pair with my favorite Havaianas flip flops.. but of course, i always wear something that looks good on me.. it's very important to wear something comfy yet modish too.. i've been seeing a lot of people who are trying to wear stylish clothes but those clothes don't look good on them..

Hi there. Well, when I buy clothes, I usually pick those that I feel most comfortable in. Also, I have the habit of dressing as casually as I can (e.g. in a simple top and shorts when going to the mall, dressy tops trying to pass off as corporate attire in the office, etc.). I can't afford to dress otherwise considering the amount of commuting I do everyday. I usually leave the dressing up to people who could actually afford to sacrifice comfort for style. Of course, it goes without saying that I make sure that the clothes I pick out actually fit me but I don't really mind fashion trends as much. As long as I feel good in it, I'll wear it, no matter what other people may say.

I really love clothes. I love mix and match style but I go for both style and comfort. I do not wear clothes that I think I don't feel comfortable. I always wear clothes that makes me feel comfortable. I want to look like a simple girl. It's my dream to be a princess. I want to wear clothes like those Princesses in Europe wearing.

Yes, when I was little I played with Barbie. And now I want to look like her. Haha! Seriously though, I dress for both style and comfort. I think that's why I love shopping. I enjoy looking for pieces that are both stylish and comfortable. I think it would be totally pointless to wear something really good that's really uncomfy. You'll only end up trying to fix your clothes all the time or looking really insecure. Style and comfort should both be observed when choosing outfits.

I prefer to dress for comfort. However work or society requires that we dress appropriately. For work, I have to dress up in stuffy shirts/blouses, pants/skirts with jacket. For parties/functions, it's all dressy stuff - black dress. So on my off days, it's jeans/shorts & tshirts - fashion and trends do not matter; it's comfort that rules.

I like to dress for both style and comfort, there are a lot of stylish clothing designs these days that are both comfortable and also look great, but of course number one for me is comfort, but I also like to dress stylishly too, why not have both if you can.

We dress to keep warm. Proper dressing is demonstration of self esteem and also good will to show respect to others. Therefore, on official occasions, I take care to be dressed to fit the environment. But when at home or for leisure travels, I chose to wear loose clothing, so that I feel myself, and comfortable. One thing of my priority is friendly to skin. I wear only cloth, silk and wool, to avoid static electricity and bad effect to skin.

I dress for comfort! As I gotten older and being overwieght, comfort is is the way to go! I love sweat shirts and sweatpants in winter. In summer shorts with a tank top or t-shirt! Foot wear? Sneakers! It is all about comfort!

I dress for both, although it used to be just for comfort. My parents even complained about how I was such a slob at dressing, they had to buy my clothes for me. But now I pick my own clothes and have more of a sense of what to wear, and I'm starting to enjoy dressing up nicely. Of course at home I have a sweater and sweats on, but that's only at home. I mean, I'm wearing magenta sweats right now! I would never wear them outside lol.

Hi, at your age, perhaps, style is more important than comfort. Me? he he he I am getting old, there is nothing more to show off to people. As long as it's comfortable, it's ok regardless of the style.
