since on the weekends some times my sleeping habits dont match with hubbys there fore im sleeping and he is bored and playing on the pc in the living room i figured i would try to find some movies to get him to watch while im asleep.. he always complains he cant find anything on tv and honestly he can barely figure out the remote haha.. funny he can fix computers and hook up gaming systems but cant figure out how to navigate through the like 200 channels we got.. anyways he likes anything with aliens, dragons, star wars (but seen all them), medieval, etc he hasnt really watched many movies recently and never keeps up with whats out to where he could give me a list.. god knows im not watching it with him haha.. but during his "me" time he could have fun watching them thanks!!

Well, moonlitmagikchild, I'll see if I can help. Here are my suggestions: Star Wars (of course, you said he's seen them) Star Trek Alien Terminator Starship Troopers (kinda campy but still a good movie) Krull (an old one from the 80's) Reign of Fire Sphere Stargate Blade Runner Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick Doom Dragonslayer I, Robot Matrix Planet of the Apes Total Recall The War of the Worlds I hope this list helps. Certainly there are many others to choose from but I just listed those that I have in my collection. Good luck finding more.

I really like the Underworld series of movies. It's primarily a horror series, though it has undertones of sci-fi, what with the weaponry and some of the explanations that take place once you're into the film.

I'm for Titan A.E (which is a cartoon), Running Man, Ultra Violet, Children of Men, Doomsday (kind of gross, but still a good film, just eat first at al), Total Recall, The Terminator Series. That's all my inner geek can come up with right now.

well there are alot of good sci-fi movies out there and i could make a very long page of them, but i'll give you some that i really like the most. jumper, stargate, event horizon, dark city, starship troopers, any of the alien movies, timeline, star dust, silent hill, a scanner darkly, lady in the water, bloodrayne 1 & 2. those are some of the movies that i like the most, i could go on with a lot more movies.

I haven't considered what I would consider a "good" SF movie in over 10 years. They're all about the same. Now that I'm up near Toronto (the Hollywood of Canada), I plan to start pitching some of the scripts I've written. I have one I'd love to turn into a TV series, because most of them are pretty bad these days, too.

I saw someone else mentioned the Doctor Who and you said you didn't think he liked it (David Tennant is the tenth Doctor so he might like one of the others *shrug*).... but what about some other TV series that can be rented on DVD. One for which I lament its demise is the Dresden Files (the books are awesome too). It only has 12 episodes, all of which are on 3 DVDs and Hulu. Firefly was written and directed by Joss Whedon and also only had 12 episodes. Some TV shows might keep him busy for more than one night hehe. On the subject of Firefly, I didn't see anyone mention Serenity, which was the movie version after the TV show floundered. Some others I didn't see mentioned... Signs Galaxy Quest (only because you said he saw Evolution, which was also silly) The X-Files The X-Files: I Want to Believe (came out last summer) ummm I had a couple of others but they slipped out of my brain on the way here

I, Robot was a good one. While only loosely based (incredibly so, actually) on Isaac Asimov's book, your husband (if he's read the book and/or is a fan of Asimov) will notice the inclusion of the Three Laws or Robotics and Nestor-class robots among other references to the book. The story has a very gripping murder mystery set in a sleek but at the same time gritty future Chicago. There are a couple plot twists near the end that will likely keep him on the edge of his seat. There are many others I would suggest such as Bicentennial Man, another movie based off of an Asimov book, starring Robin Williams. Although they have likely been mentioned, I would also suggest classics like The Fifth Element, Dune, Starship Troopers, the Alien anthology, Pitch Black and its sequel The Chronicles of Riddick, among many others that could be too numerous the mention. I hope he enjoys them!!
