Armageddon is one of my favorite science fiction movies. I already have its DVD at home. But tomorrow night the TV will broadcast it again and I will watch it again. Whenever I watch it, I will still feel so moved and my tears drop. It's so touching. Did you ever cry for a science fiction movie before? If so, what is it?

Okay, okay, I admit it. Independence Day made me cry. The part where Bill Pullman, playing the President, saw that his wife was going to die...Yep, I cried. I didn't see Armageddon. I figured though it would make me cry just based on the synopsis I've gotten from those who have seen it.

I am a big Sci-Fi fan and if the scene is moving enough, I've probably shed a few tears. Concerning Armageddon, I've seen it at least 10 times and have cried several times during the movie. Even the theme song "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" sang by Aerosmith (who's lead singer, Steven Tyler, just happens to be the real life father of the female lead of Armageddon, Liv Tyler....the daughter of Bruce Willis' character and the love interest of AJ) makes me cry. The music video for this song contains scenes of the movie. However, there is an extra scene (not from the movie) in the music video where Steven Tyler is singing om a large screen and Liv Tyler is looking up at him and then reaching for him. The screen changes, and we know that Steven Tyler is gone as she bows her head to sob. Breaks me up every time.

I have to admit I do not watch science fiction films often but I remember years ago crying when I watched ET when much younger. I have seen it a few times since then and I always get a lump in my throat when I watch.

As long as you promise not to laugh at Wolfie, ok! Here goes, I have cried over Star Wars LOL! The only episode being Revenge of the Sith, Episode 3 the final piece of the puzzle, I think about that lovely little boy turning into the most evilest and cruellest person in the Galaxy, Darth Vader, when you watch little Anakin in Episode 1 and then in Episode 3 it's like Jekyl and Hyde, who would believe a lovely boy would turn into a monster, mind you it happens in real life doesn't it! But when Anakin at the end of the film turns against the Jedi and goes to the Jedi Temple to kill all the younglings, well that had me reaching for the mansize for sure, does it every time!

I know you like the Star Wars. It's hard to believe that it is still not outdated until today. It's a classical science fiction movie.

^_^ Howdy!.... youless!.... Armageddon is one science fiction movie film that you can really make shed a tears. I don't cry watching movies.... lol.... Just some tears. Tears are precious to loose it.... lol.... The best scene on Armageddon is when Bruce Willis (sorry I forgot his name character) gonna stay on the asteroid just to save mankind. That is a really tearfully part of the movie. Another one is Happy Feet. yah yah yah. I know its funny. But I don't know why I shed tears on that scene. This is the part when that penguin "happy feet" starts on trying to communicate with humans and succeeded. Especially when he got back his home and make dance then humans follow him and dance with them...... lol..... ^_^ Thanks!.... and Enjoy!....

Yes, he is Bruce Willis He sacrificed himself and therefore AJ could be alive with his daughter. He is a great father.

No not really. I seldom watch science fiction because I am not really into any techno movies, therefore, I would say up till now, no science fiction movie has made me cry.

The movie Terminator 2 made me cry. I was pretty young when I first saw it, and in the end when Arnold Schwazneger's character kills himself in the pool of molten lava, or whatever it was, just made me burst into tears. I realize that he was just a robot, but it just made me feel so sad that I could not help myself. I no longer cry when I see it, but it used to be my fave movie and I would cry at the end every time.

Not really into sci-fi, but the films usually don't make me cry. They just make me suspend my disbelief. Saw the movie Armageddon. Hope you don't mind me disagreeing. It was was cheesy. Couldn't take it seriously and no way it could make me cry!
