Do you have clothes that you have never worn?

Have you ever shopped for clothes, then after buying it, you realized you dont like it? So what do you do with them? Yesterday, I cleaned up my closet and found some blouses that I bought myself but I have never worn. They are stuck in my closet. When they were still in the department store, I liked them. I thought they were cute. But when I had already bought them, I realized I didnt like them. I didnt mean to waste money..

Yes I have shirts and tops that I liked when I saw them in the shops and, even though I didn't really have any need for them, I bought them just the same. I also have a couple of cardigans that were given to me by friends that are not really my kind of thing and I have never worn them either. I have promised myself that once the weather is warmer and I start wearing lighter clothes I am going to sort through everything and get rid of all the uselss stuff I have there. I do seem to remember saying that last year too though

Yeah, I have lots of those too. Sometimes I buy it because it looks good, but then it turns out that I can't wear it or it fits me bad so I just stock it in my closet. But I'm definitely much smarter now when it comes to shopping. I make sure that I'm gonna be wearing those clothes before I buy them.

Okay, the only thing I never use in my closet was this black Fubu top that had a sinfully low neckline. Now since I have boobs, I don't use it. It scares me to flash any person by accident or anything like that. But apart from that top, the rest of my clothes are well-used and are crying for retirement. =)

I do that same thing. I buy things I like...thinking I will wear them and then months later they are still sitting in my closet waiting to be worn...LOL! In fact I have a sweater in my closet right now I thought I would love and wear all the time...but the tags are still on it...LOL! You may feel like it is a waste of money but try to do something good with them. Two times a year I donate them to the womans shelter in my town. I do not support the local goodwill because they make money off them but at the homeless shelter they go to people the can't afford to buy...even from goodwill. By doing that I don't feel like I have wasted the money...I feel like I have helped someone who really needs it...and the best part is that I do it without someone knowing who it came from.

Same here, i also had blouses or clothes that i bought but i never wear. I don't know sometimes when i when to department store and have this impulse to buy and like but when i got home, i don't really wear it. Sometimes i just like to look at it that's why i buy it. There are also time that i buy clothes that i like but still after a few days from the day i bought it, it wouldn't fit anymore ...lol this is one of the reason.

Nope, I am always excited to wear my brand new clothes. I am not an impulse buyer either, so when I purchase something I know where I'll wear it to or what to wear it with. Even with bags and accessories, I know what I'm going to use those for, so it rarely stays unused in my closet. Anyway, if u still have tags on then you can always return the clothes or give them as gifts...

Unfortunately, when I've brought them home, the first thing I did was to remove tags now I've learned not to so I could still return them to store or so that I could sell them again..

I go through the similar instances sometimes only. I generally restrict my buying and stick to only those things which I think are going to be used by me for sure. I try and gift those clothes to some friend or some one visiting my home.

Even I like to go shopping quite often and buy pretty many cloth, I don't think I have such cloth I never have worn. If I buy something there's always a reason for it. My closet if full of cloth, some of them I have worn only once in my life but still, I have had them on me:-)

I buy a lot of my clothes at thrift stores (although not all), so by giving things away to charity/giving them to friends, I'm not breaking the bank. I usually go through my closet at least once a month and "filter" out things that I don't usually wear, and give them to friends, family, or charities that accept used clothing. Otherwise, if I buy it at a regular store - I'll definitely try to return it if I still have the receipt & haven't run out of time to return it. I'm personally someone who has to constantly get rid of things, otherwise I'd probably have a million clothing articles that I don't wear in my closet. :/ If you want to make money off of your clothes (assuming they're still in season/style), you can sell them at a consignment shop, on Ebay or Craigslist, or even at a garage sale. You might not get a lot for them, but somethings better than nothing, right?

yeah i agree with you, but i havent tried selling though.. My unused clothes are few to be sold so I guess I'd give them to my cousins.. thanks for responding...

While I was packing my clothes a few weeks ago before I moved, I found quite a few clothes that still had tags on them. Most of that isn't due to the fact I don't like them, I just bought them out of season. There are a few I love, but I'm afraid to get them dirty so I haven't worn them. I know there are a few items in my closet that I look at and wonder why I ever decided to buy them. Those will be put out with my garage sale stuff, or donated to Goodwill.

I think they would be easier to sell since they still have tags on them.. thanks for responding..

Well yes I had but I didn't buy them most were just gifts for me. I had clothes that are too large for me now since I lost a lot of weight. Those clothes were given to my younger brother or to my father. Whenever I buy clothes I really take time to decide if I like it or not.

Hey purplehyacinth! I buy things that I like and put them in the closet and wait for the "perfect occasion" to wear the and they end up never getting worn! It's not because I don't like them, I do! I just save them and never get around to wearing them and then I forget I have them until next year when I go to switch my clothes again!

I don't have clothes I havn't worn but I do have shoes that I have never worn except to try on. Unfortunately they are in storage so I can't get them out until I find a place to move into. My then it will be near summer and I won't be able to wear them until winter. They are mostly boots, short boots.

Yes! I have clothes that I have never worn and have been hanging in my closet (in some cases) for a few years. And it is not that I don't like them, it is just that I don't have anywhere to war them. I am trying to get out of the habit of buying stuff I don't need and now think long and hard about what I already have before I make a purchase!
