Have you ever went fishing for striped bass? My husband and I used always go fishing off the jetty during the spring time. We would usually go just to catch the stripers. One day we went fishing and I caught a really big striped bass so we decided to bring it home for dinner. We took the fish to a resturant to have it filet. When we brought it home we cooked it in some lemon, butter and pepper. The fish was so tasty and light and flaky. Well today my husband is going fishing with his friend but this time there going for striped bass on a lake. Do you think it would be safe to eat a freshwater striped bass? Because if you can I may ask him to bring one home for dinner.

my dad just passed away recently but he used to fish year round (ice fishing in the winter and freshwater fishing in the summer and him and his buddies always used to eat the fish. in fact, there is so much fish in my moms freezer and they ate it so often that she doesnt want to eat or see fish for a very long time.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Wow I couldn't imagine eating fish that often. I love fish but I think I probably would get tired of it quick.

It will all depend on how clan the lake is, but if they are eating any fish out of that lake the bass should be ok. We love fresh fish, we get trout and salmon around here.
