Abortion at the philippines?

Philippines

Wow. Right abortion is not allowed in our country and most of the people do not use contraception because the believe that it is against the will of Our Almighty God. Then how the hell will our country improve? Knowing that we have the highest rate, we are over populated and poverty just keeps on growing. Good morning Philippines! What is your opinion about this?

Hello wyethlovesu! I am against abortion too. It's a mortal sin to kill an innocent child. But contraception? hmm..well, I guess it's ok with me. I am not againsts with it. But the church really has the right to advise whatever law the law making body decide.

Wow. I didn't know you were from the philippines. I'm from the Philippines myself and studying Physical Therapy at UST lol. Anyway, yeah abortion is not allowed in the Philippines. It's not allowed via the constitution and the church laws too but a lot of people are forced to do this because of poverty...maybe Higher education on family planning will help..I can fogive the poor people for doing abortion but for the rich teens here in the Phil.. that do abortion..I won't forgive thme for they run from their obligations. Even though youre rich or smart when it comes to the point that you cower and not face a conflict.. you won't be successful here in this world. My opinion about this is: People should face it. Care for the child Not kill it. Be a christian who's not a hypocrite.. please hope i helped:)

I'm a first year P.T student who's still undecided lol. And yes.. that is a sin... it's worse than killing a person because youre killing an innocent person.. and I mean really innocent.. once the fetus forms in the womb of a woman that is already considered "human" and with a soul.. that's what the church says.

Well I guess the thing is for as long as the people will not learn to take the responsibility to for our own action they will never be able to learn to live responsibly. Abortion is an easy way out to avoid responsibility for their own actions. With regards to contraception well I guess it is for each individual's choice to use it or not. We cannot enforce it to everyone that finds no value in using that. Poverty is as old as we've known it. I think we were born with it and would stay long as long as there are corrupt people that would take advantage of other people in our society.

Hi there rsa101, i agree with you, people should be responsible for their actions but its not their responsibility to abort the child right? Corruption here in the country is growing!!! Thank you for the response rsa101! God bless!

I know that the Catholic religion doesn't like contraception so I imagine most ladies in the Philippines use a natural method like the avoiding serious relations at the most fertile time of the month. However even doing that there can be some surprise pregnancies happening. So the Philippines has a high population and many people are poor. I imagine that abortion is not allowed in the Catholic religion. So I find it difficult to understand how it can have one of the highest rates of abortion. Personally I would say I am pro-life and would never have an abortion. I imagine using birth control would be light compared to having an abortion which some people would view as murder.

Sorry, I note that abortion isn't allowed in the Philippines so please ignore the sentence when I mentioned one of the highest rates of abortion. It must not have any abortions.

hi, Abortion or contraception can not be the solution for over population and poverty here in the Philippines. If we want to solve the over populated problem, then we should start educating the people about family planning. Just to inform you, the church started doing this in several parishes. then the government should reinforce the effort of the church about this issue. regarding poverty, well i guess we have to admit that most of our country men were lazy and are so irresponsible plus the fact that the politicians are getting the goods and the funds which are supposedly for the people, those are the reason why poverty is one of the biggest problem here. so again, the government most do something about these issues. ABORTION IS KILLING!

i am totally against with abortion. it is a mortal sin and a criminal act. Abortion and contraception are not the answer of over population and poverty. I am not totally against with contraceptives but as much as possible we should not depend on those contraceptives. It's time for us to be responsible enough to do the right thing. the government and the church should work hand in hand in educating people especially the uncivilized areas.

if you look at it from the church's point of view. The rhythm method itself has to be enough. However, not only is this very hard to carry out; science itself has proven how unreliable this is. I am never for abortion however, I am for contraception.

Well I think that you are 100% right and I think that it should be the woman's choice. These days the government is trying to take away a woman's right to do with her body what she will. Why? This is obviously because we are strong and can accomplish anything we put our thoughts to. The government is trying to control everyone but, every man on gods green earth wants to control women of every size, shape, and color. You are not alone in your feelings of fustration and wishing for a change for the better. Just be who you are and there is nothing wrong with helping someone who wants to help themselves.

Thank you for the response regarding to this issue mslovely101. Maybe the Government is still protecting the name of our motherland and for what this country is known for. In other countries, even teenagers at 14's are already pregnant and they go to school. And for them it is not a discrimination or offensiveness.

..I'm from the Philippines and we share the same sentiment.. I am against the churches who are "nakikialam" with regards to our laws.. I think church is a different entity from government.. One way of preventing over population should be family planning so that each family will just have the enough kids that they could support without sacrificing also the happiness of parents.. I mean they need each other.. I think it will not be a violation against God when contraceptives are used because the law of God and the law of men work hand and hand.. There isn't a verse in the bible that says contraceptives are not to be used.. We need to be practical this days and let's open our eyes to the reality.. The church have their reasons but I think they are suppose to study it deeper and analyze if what they are really fighting for is worth it..

I'm PRO life and i'm against abortion. We, humans, don't have the right to take one's life.. i don't get why people are up for abortion.. is it because of poverty? it's unacceptable reason!!! Over population isn't the main reason why poverty just keeps on growing.. I guess, we should work harder in order to provide the needs of the family.. if you don't have a stable job, why don't you enroll yourself to TESDA programs? They are offering free lectures on how to start your own small business(candle making, baking, crafting, etc).. then look for blue collar jobs, etc.. there are career opportunities out there, it's just that some people are born to lazy around and do nothing.. And yes, the government should make livelihood programs for our less fortunate brothers and sisters.. China is over populated too but they aren't a poor country. In fact, they are leading manufacturers in the world..

I'm Pro-life so I'd rather use contraceptives and natural methods than to do abortions. I dont give a squat on whatever the catholic church said because i'm not a hypocrite like them. We cannot stop humans from mating and so we just need to find ways to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
• Philippines

Yeah, right! There are many contraceptives. You know artificial and natural methods to do. And i agree with the "we cannot stop humans from mating!" hahahaha, It's our nature right? I think The government should focus on this problem and not with other stuff. Where would we go when we our over populated? AT mindanao?
