I like knitting, I find it easy and fun. I knit winter hats, socks and vests. The biggest cloth I have ever knitted is a jumper for my boyfriend, he is 192 cm tall, so it was a big adventure!:) I like how crochets look but I never have learned crocheting that well. I probably should because there are things which look better when been crocheted than knitted.

Its certainly useful to be able to crochet as well as knit, as you say, some things lend themselves better to one technique and some to another. I particularly like putting a crochet trim onto a knit garment, it adds a lot of textural interest and is a great way to practice crochet without committing to a whole garment.

I've knit a variety of things, some for stores, etc. Lately I've been knitting scarves for next Christmas. I can crochet, too, and I don't think it is all that difficult to learn - you should try!

Lindery, I knit and crochet equally. I feel just as comfortable picking up the needles as I do picking up the hook. :-) :-) Each craft has it's advantages... I love the drape of knitted garments. I love how crochet purses keep their shape. :-) Knitted socks feel so comfie and crochet slippers last for a really long time. :-) I think it's wonderful to learn both crafts equally. :-) Take care, Pinka http://pinkap.etsy.com http://pinkap.blogspot.com

I have been knitting for over 20 years and crocheting for about 10. I enjoy them both but it depends what I am making which determines which I will use. I prefer knitting for clothing, but crochet for everything else. I love especially to crochet toys. I have knit some also, but with crocheting I feel that I can be more free with the designs. I have a knit and crochet blog if you would like to check it out. Go to my profile for the name.

I love knitting. It really helps me relieve stress during a hard day. I am currently working on my first pair of socks. They are going ok. I have just now gotten to the heel turning part and am kind of stuck. Anyway, Ravelry has a lot of great patterns that are hard to find anywhere else. If you are on there, look me up Amz4543!

I can knit but with the help of my mother, she was the first who taught me how to knit specially when we have projects in school. She knitted my school project which is a ref cover and a pillow case.

I can knit and crochet, but I'm way better at knitting. I've never made anything bigger than a blanket. I prefer small projects that I can give as gifts. Are you on Ravelry?

I love to knit. i thought myself how to knit online 2 years ago. im 23(almost 24) and all my friends tease me and say im old for knitting but they all love it when i make them stuff. the biggest thing i have attempted to knit so far was a baby blanket- but the hardest thing has been my first sock. i also know how to knit with two different colors where its one color on one side and another color on the other side- im not sure what thats called. i have so many things that i want to do but im trying to finish one project before i start five others!!
