AS a teacher what are the first things that you teach to your students?? I'd been a teacher for a year and I teach the english language to korean students, from beginner to advance level. And the most easy part in teaching is when you have given the test papers to the students.ehehe! For the beginners i taught alpabets and numbers, for intermediate i use grammars and for the advance we usually do free talking because that is what they like.

As a teacher some of the first things I teach are classroom behavior, the routine, rules, etc. These are a very important basis at the beginning of the school year. I truly believe that each classroom teacher is different and without beginning with these housekeeping items it can set you up for failure throughout the year.

When I was a teacher the first thing I taught my students was effective study or learning methods. This was followed by things that should be done to improve memory retention and memory recall. I felt these were important for any student who wanted to be successful in their studies. Most of the students were receptive. The minorty hated me for doing this because they thought I should have started teaching rather than wasting their time. I used to tell my students reading was important to improve grammar and style of writing. Only after I had touched these things the 'real' lessons started. all the best, rosdimy
