hello everybody here at Mylot. if you-all use liquid laundry detergent do you-all rinse out the bottle of it the last time that you use the detergent? i always rinse out the bottle of the liquid laundry detergent when my bottle is almost empty. it is enough for another load to wash clothes with. so tell me, do you rinse out your bottle of liquid laundry detergent when it is almost empty like that? thanks for sharing and have a beautiful afternoon.

I usually use powdered soap, but I got a lot of liquid on sale with coupons for a good price so I'm stocked up on liquid. When I use liquid I do rincd the bottle out and use it in the washer. Every last drop gets used. Any liquid gets used to the end in my house. Shampoo, conditions, dish soap, softener, you name it I water it down when it gets empty.

Actually I don't think about it but you are right. There could be enough detergent in the bottle to wash another load of clothes. I take the empty bottle outside and put in the recycle bin when it's empty. I quit using powder since it tends to clump when washing in cold water. Use to find detergent on the clean clothes and had to rewash them.

I also do that. I hate to waste it, I can always get another load out of it. I figure I will try to save where ever I can.

Yes, we do use liquid detergent for our laundry. It does make good sense to rinse out the bottle when it is almost rid of all its contents. We do that all the time. And in such bad economic times, this practice makes good sense as it helps us save a little bit of money. We also do the same for our hair shampoo and liquid hand wash.

Yes I do rinse out the bottle w/ some water to get the remaining little bit that is left in the bottle. I don't like wasteing anything and try to use up every part of it the best that I can befor tossing it out in the trash.

Hi TnWoman, I do that all the time - it seems such a waste just to throw away the bottle. I usually keep that watered down detergent for hand-washing clothes.

I try to get out every little drop. First I turn it upside down till nothing comes out anymore and then I rinse it out with water. Good till the last drop.

Well..I use the softener for laundry, and yup..we rinse the bottle when its finished, or we turn it upside down and let the remains from the bottle come to the bottom and a last rinse through the bottle for the loads of clothes to be rinsed with. Mum thought us how to do it for shampoo bottles, body showers and the dish washing liquid bottles..:p...she's always said..that small amount left in the bottle still cost money that we had paid for.. :) Princess

I'll be honest in saying that I do not do the laundry for my fiance and I as his mother does it for us. When I first moved in I was more then willing to do both of our laundry, or well atleast mine, and I am still willing... lol but that's another thing all together. When I did do my own laundry, I was taught to rinse it out. I was taught to turn on the washer, and open the lid, while the water was running I would add all the stuff, I would actually rinse the cup out every time I poured more in to the wash. So two cups of laundry detergent and fabric softener, I would rinse the cup out.

Yes I rinse, the stuff is to expensive to waste one drop. I even stand there holding the bottle until the last drop is out.

I am sorry to say that I do not, but I do turn it upside down and get the last drops out before throwing it away. I also will combine a last cup from one type of detergent into another even if they are different type of soap! Happy day!
