Hey everyone I am currently writing on not only mylot but also helium, oh yeah and trying to start a blog. I use mylot not becuase of my earnings...although it is cool to see my earnings increasing each day...and will be even cooler when i finally reach payout! But the main reason I use mylot it all the things i learn, all the great people that are here, and all the help and advice i can give and recieve. So to me mylot is absolutely worth my time! Helium...I must say I like how my earnings can quickly accumulate if i keep contributing new articles. But it does of pressure to keep your writing and rating stars up in order to earn more. At the moment i am struggling to keep these stars up and i dont know why...however i am hoping from them to go up tomarrow becuase of the changes that have occured with a couple articles today...and all the rating i have done. Does anybody else who uses helium or knows of helium think it is worth our time...how much do you think is a reachable amount to earn in a months time? Blogs...well I am new to this i have just started one on dog training and really have no idea what I am doing. Although i have heard adsense is great way to make money if you have a well thought out and designed blog that can attract visitors. But now what are the chances of being able to attract enough visiters to blog to earn any money at all. Do you thinki blogging is worth your time...how much do you think is a reachable amount to earn in a months time through this? I know many people earn money using these methods but for the average person do you think it is acheivable to make an income of some sorts. I am a stay at home mom and do have the time to put into it....if I think it will be worth my time. If you would like to check out some of my helium articles or my blog which is on dog training...keep in mind i have just started it 2 days ago...and maybe give me some advice or opinions about if you think any of these opportunities are worth it...that would be great!

My experience is mostly with Helium, Gather, Associated Content, and Epinions. I switch around what I put an emphasis on (and of course, I throw MyLot into that mix). I find that it usually takes me two months to reach payout ($25) at Helium, but I am working on my article numbers right now, and try to add one a day, which is about as much as I can handle. Once you have at least one writing and rating star, you also start to earn money for the articles themselves, which is great. I like Gather the best, which is more of a social networking site, because you earn for posting photos, videos, AND articles, as well as commenting. I have won several contests from them, too, and gotten free books and products to try, so overall I've done better there. (For example, I won a $150 Visa card last November for a milk contest.) My advice for what it's worth is to pick one thing and try and concentrate on it until you reach a good level, something I am now trying to follow myself. I think when I have been too scattered, it takes me forever to earn money, and it's not very satisfying. Good luck with your writing!

hi, i think that if you put enough time into anything you can get what you want from it. seems like a very broad way of answering it really but i use other sites similar to the ones you described. with most of these sites, if you use them proberly i think you probably could if you switeched between various ones throughout the day.

I think the best way to make money from writing is to have several sources of income. I get paid every month from Helium and a small monthly income from Get Paid From Us (blogging site). Other sites, such as myLot, pay me when I reach payout or qualify for payment. Helium can be good if you are productive and put in a lot of effort. I use the site daily, because my articles are now gaining around $1 every day in revenue. I have three writing stars and I'm a premier marketplace writer, so I earn well from upfront payments and from sales in the marketplace, on top of my daily earnings.

I am new to Helium too an so far I am enjoying my stay there though it is difficult to maintain the rating stars consistently! Once I have many articles there I can hope for a revenue stream regularly. All the best to you and I think if you have time you can do very well there. I am a student and so its almost impossible for me to give regular attention so I have to struggle at time to keep up with everybody around. Its sad that AC doesn't pay non US writers. Have a nice day!
