AnythngArt responded to a discussion called I wanted an opinion on an opening paragraph for an article. in helium.com.

Well, everyone has given you their two cents, and you have leapfrogged it already, but if you are like Trensue, maybe you will want to leapfrog it again in the near future. Basically I agree with Scheng. I think you want to keep the definitions and dictionaries out of the first paragraph. (Snore) Maybe you want to start with something like:"It may sound contradictory to talk about posit...

You made me feel better! There are a few of my articles I keep leapfrogging and leapfrogging. One minute they are in first place, the next time, last. I keep working on them, but they never seem to land in a good place. So I am right there with you. Ok, maybe I haven't gotten to 23 yet, but it's certainly not out of my realm of possibility. I'm a Virgo and a perfectionist. What's your excuse...

Congrats, that's great news. I think I saw my badge before I ever got any money, so it shouldn't be long for that. What was your article about? Congrats again, and keep up the great writing work!![em]thumbup[/em][em]thumbup[/em][em]thumbup[/em]

AnythngArt responded to a discussion called Fancy some of my elk salami? in helium.com.

Well, it may not be as strange as elk salami, but I was checking out the empty Christmas titles, and one was an article on how the Church of England celebrates Christmas. I didn't realize it was so different than any other Christian religion. And why would someone want to know about that specifically?I usually spot the strange ones when I am looking up something else. I guess that elk salam...

Sometimes I don't have time to write there, and I forget about rating, but it is key to keeping your articles in circulation! I like to keep on a regular writing schedule, but the last week, I was busy with something else and now my mood is off. Oh, it's always a struggle to keep all this going, but you bring up a great point![em]happy[/em][em]thumbup[/em][em]happy[/em]

I didn't know that Helium censored the poetry like that![em]happy[/em][em]happy[/em][em]happy[/em]

AnythngArt commented in a discussion called NaNoWriMo Challenge - How is it coming along for those participating this year? in writer.

That's a great idea (writing it as a letter). I might have to try that sometime. Continued good luck with NaNoWriMo![em]happy[/em][em]happy[/em][em]happy[/em]

I am always submitting book reviews. In fact, I was worried that they would get mad at me for how many new book reviews I submit, so I try and space them out between other things. I noticed last night that there are plenty of new Christmas titles that are empty in case anyone is looking for something to write about![em]happy[/em][em]w00t[/em][em]happy[/em]

I generally agree with this. I too would rather spend my time writing new articles. I will use leapfrog if my star rating gets in danger or slips below 3 (its typical place). Otherwise, you leapfrog, then someone else follows, and it's a constant back and forth motion. And, like you, my best selling article is rated a 5 out of 15 (approximately), so it's not even a number one article that is th...

What an interesting topic!I have been slack about being over at Gather myself. I just finished my last Call for Content article over at AC, and I feel positively elated! Last week I was helping my sister for a Christmas show she is doing, and I am so far behind on everything, especially writing![em]happy[/em][em]happy[/em][em]happy[/em]

Frustrated with Associated Content...back to Helium

Am I the only one who suffers from these writing sites? One month I will be frustrated by Helium, the next by Associated Content. Right now, I am reeling from rejection by AC and I am back with...

Does your writing slack after the 25th on Helium?

Knowing that Helium is not counting any more of your articles toward this month (since they make their break at the 25th of each month), does that make you slack off? Or are you revved up for a new...

Are you planning to participate in the Associated Contents Twitter challenge?

The grand prize is a computer. More than that, however, I decided to participate so I can figure out how to get a little more mileage from my Twitter account. Can it really increase my page...

What's up with Associated Content?

Right now I am frustrated. Associated Content wants something for nothing...or at least that's how it appears. I have submitted 5 articles this week, and every one has been turned down for upfront...

Will you write about a topic you have no interest in?

Right now in the Marketplace section of Helium, there are several calls for content about shingles. A lot of them don't have any articles posted yet. Would you spend the time researching a topic like...
