I have a co worker who i think alot about and she has had a really bad year. She is a kind a gentle person, loves to help others and is just a super sweet person no matter where you meet her. This year her two year old was diagnosed with juvinele diabetes. he has been a sickly child since he was born. The doctors had told her before she got pregnant that she would never be able to have children based on some medical problems she has already. Well, doctors dont know everything do they? She did have a child and is now expecting her second.Today i walked in our therapy room and she was so upset cring and just utterly confused and distressed. Her sons sugar is all over the board. she cant get it right. the doctors have changed his dosage and medications so much in the past few months. no child should have to deal with this. I believe in prayer and i believe that god answers them. im asking for a miracle here. i have prayed that god would just take the diabetes away and make this child better. for all children who have this. im asking for all of you that believe in prayer to please pray for this to be lifted from this child. i believe it could happen. do you know of any one with this? i dont know what else to do for her. my heart just breaks for her. thank you all so much.

hi there, ethansmommy06.. it's a good thing that you've written about this. i strongly believe there is power in prayer in Jesus' name. will P.U.S.H... that God's "good, pleasing and perfect will" be done for your friend and her child. God ALWAYS answers prayer and our job is to pray in full confidence that He has in mind the BEST INTEREST of everyone. We know that "God works for the good of those who love Him, whom He has called according to His purpose." I am sure that no matter what happens, God just wants us to TRUST Him with all our heart, and not rely on our own understanding...

I'm sure you do feel very badly for this woman. I am of the firm belief that everything happens for a reason, and no matter how much we hope and pray, we can't change what is meant to be, and it always works out for the best. From what I've read here, it sounds to me like maybe she shouldn't have had kids. I know how much some people hope and pray to be able to have one, but considering the one she does have is so sick and living such torment, it just seems like it would have been best had she not been able to concieve. I'm not trying to be mean, I hope it doesn't sound that way. That's just what I believe. Granted I'm not in the situation myself, and may feel differently if it were me or someone I cared about.

I believe in the power of prayer. The first step to get closer to God is to feel others pain. A child with juvenile diabetes! That is really harsh. But who are we to judge the ways of God. The ways of God are inscrutable. The great testing times come for people who choose to tread the Path of the Lord come what may. I am also deeply moved by the plight of your friend and the child that knows not what he is battling with! My humble and heartfelt prayers(in the way of my religion: Hinduism) for the well-being of the boy. Yes, we should only expect a miracle. Please give the name of the child and his father so that I could direct a specific prayer to him. We can only pray. It is the Lord in His inimitable compassion that should make the miracle happen.

How the baby and your friend/co worker? Hope everything is better. I am touched with your concern for your co-worker. She is lucky to have you to ask other people to pray for her family.
