This morning I watched a news from TV and I am surprised to learn that a 9 years old boy Lim Ding Wen made a program called Doodle Kids. It is an interesting painting software for iPhone. It looks so cool. Hard to believe he is only 9 years old but already knows 8 different programming languages. Its details as follows: - Doodle Kids allows kids to draw random shapes in random colors and sizes. - Tap the screen with two fingers to clear the screen. - Tap the screen with three fingers to set the screen to random color. If I had an iPhone, I would try this software

Yeah, I saw it on the news as well. And the program has been downloaded more than 4 million times since it was loaded onto the server for sharing. Imagine, if he were to charge 1 cent for each download, he would have been richer by more than $400,000 already. Makes me wonder, is it really that easy to write applications for the iphone? How does one get started on it?

Hmm... but the kid can write it. And he did it with just two hours in front of the PC a day! Goodness. We are talking about 4 million hits! If only I could do something like that!

Its quite a basic program but hey coming from a 9 year old child it is quite a marvel. I have not been able to learn anything about coding until in my poly life. He is a lucky kid to have such a father that knows programming which i think open up his world on computing. My father dont even know how to on/off a computer till recently. Haha. Good that the kid is interested few interest in coding at such young age.

Wow. He's a genius. Even if his father teaches him how to program, it is still difficult to learn those programming languages and how to be creative in using them.

I heard the same news, and am really amazed by the easeness of drawing colorful paintings with fingers. What could be impossible? He started using the computer since 2 years old. Who could have taught him? I am really curious about him and his family. Does he go to school as the other pupils? Will he be used to the activities and pace of teaching in the school? How would he continue to learn in an effective way? Hope we can learn more from online.
