The payment is calculated using many factors, the most important being 'quality'. There is no fixed payment per post. What happens is that the better the quality of your post (discussion, response or comment), the more you are paid. We are not allowed to speculate on the exact math behind the algorithm (see the Guidelines) but we are told that the better the quality of our discussions and responses, the more value they have. You may (as some do) interpret this as a certain number of lines, sentences or paragraphs but it is almost certainly more sophisticated than just a word or line count. Basically, the more worthwhile your discussion or response, the more you are likely to be paid. There are a number of other ways of earning besides posting. You can add images/photos to your discussions or responses but you need to be sure that the images are relevant to the discussion or response and that you don't infringe any copyright. If you take digital photos, use these in preference to anything you might download from the Web! If you have friends who may enjoy discussions on MyLot, encourage them to join as your referrals. You will earn 25% of whatever they earn, so that if you have four referrals who earn about the same as you do, then you will double your earnings! All of this information (and more) is available in the FAQs. It is also essential to read the Guidelines to see what is acceptable and what is not. If any discussion you post is deleted because it's against the rules, not only do you lose anything you might have earned from that discussion but so does anyone who responded to it. The answer is always - play by the rules and make sure that others do, too.

Actual payment, by the way, is automatic: you don't have to request it. Once you have reached the minimum payout ($10) by the end of any month, your PayPal account will be credited automatically on or about the 15th of the following month. You need have no worries about payment. MyLot do - and always have done in the three years I have been here - pay exactly what is owed when they say they will (and sometimes before). They are one of the most reliable and honourable sites I know.
