Have you ever woken up freaked out from a dream?

Sketch of the dream I had - This is a quick sketch of the dream I had last night. The ship I saw and the humanoid female I saw.

I tend to have very vivid dreams, but last night, I had a dream tha I was in a pool swimming with some friends. When I came up for air fromt eh bottom of the pool, all my friends were staring into the air. I turned around to see something sticking out behind a cloud. This object then in a flash moved out into the open sky. It was tube shaped and had orange lines across it with what looked like glass windows. The strange thing was, there was another one in a distant behind it and another one in the distant to the left of us. The weird thing was, this object kept flashing vertical to horizontal, and back to vertical. Then a loud noise, almost as an announcement boomed out explaining that they were here to save us and that they would come pick everyone up tonight. When tonight rolled around, we were kind of beamed up into the ship where a humanoid female asked each and every person if they have ever lied, cheated, or stolen in their life time. Depending on their answer, they were sent to a different tier of the ship. Ok it sounds crazy, but the vividness and sheer terror of this dream made me wake up completely FREAKED OUT! Maybe these are the kind of dreams people have when they think they have been abducted by aliens, i don't know. But the detail, the colors, the emotions of wanting to get a hold of my family right away, the terror, the confusion, it was all there. Even the humanoid female that asked us if we have ever lied, cheated, or stolen was so real. I remember staring at her investigating her every detail. Anyone else have these kinds of strange and terrifyingly vivid and real dreams? And if so, please feel free to share them.

I have so many bad dreams just lately that I hardly remember them now, I just wake up bathed in sweat knowing it was something bad but not what it was about. I usually have to get up and stay up for about ten minutes just so I do not go back into it.

i've also had my share of experience. bad dreams. well, not really that i have woken up freaking out but so sweaty and i felt that my heart is running so fast. and i was trying to catch my breath,. my dream was all about this white lady. lol. i am so fond of watching horror movies that it became my dream. the japanese version of the grudge. it was so scary that it became part of dreams. the dream was that, she chased me in the stairway crawling and i was there frozen satring at its scary face. good thing i woke up or else - i don't know what might happen. but i did thank the Lord for letting me wake up in those bad dream. that was really scary.

Yes, many a times I go through this problem of waking up in the night because of a dream. I sometimes feel I am falling down from a staircase or something and suddenly I wake up out of fear. This is quite common with me. There are some other dreams also which keep me awake.

Certainly nothing like that, but you want to talk about vivid. mine was simple. I was lying on my back on a log in a tree, probably about 15 or 20 feet high. That was my dream. No explanation how I got there and how i got into that position. But I do remember thinking I better not roll over or else, of course, I will fall from a very high height. At one point I woke up. I was on my back in my bed and still had thay feeling of better stay on my back. Then, I don't know how long I was awake, but I just naturally turned a little bit. When I did that and didn't fall, that's how I found out that was a dream.

Last Friday night/Saturday morning I had a horrifically vivid nightmare. My dreams aren't usually as vivid as this one, so it stuck with me and frightened me even more. I dreamed that I was awaiting execution for a crime I didn't commit, I'd been trying to help someone that I found dying and I was accused of killing them. The prison was awful and real, but the worst part was that I had some sort of illness and there were these big, long, black flukeworms coming out of the soles of my feet. It makes me feel ill just thinking about it. I was really traumatised for the rest of that day and I kept having flashbacks of it all.

I had this one dream while I was in college. It totally freaked me out and still freaks me out. I was with friends in this theater thing. We went into one area to watch a movie and this demon comes at us and starts to attack me and my friends and it started to like gouge out my eyes, when it did that I woke up. Totally freaked me out. It happened for three or four nights in a row. Since I started talking to pastors about it the dreams stopped.

I do too, but most of the time they are too graphic to share. Sometimes they aren't like when I am falling from high up though, and I wake up feeling like I am still falling.

I often have strange dreams, usually random, but serious. I always wake up just before a resolution. :P The strange thing is, after I wake up, I realise it was my dream, which meant I could have changed it in anyway I wanted. :l -facepalm- I don't have any stories since I always forget my dreams. The dreams seem to accord at night for some reason though.

I've had some very vivid dreams over my life time. I've learned to keep a dream journal so that I can trace any patterns. Dreams are interesting things because there are several things going on. You have the obvious, the collection of things you did over the day and your brain trying to make sense of them. Then you have dreams that are snips of past lives, perhaps indicating some sort of memory. You have shamanistic dreams in which things are not the actual but symbols of things you need to be aware of. The color orange for example has some very specific meanings. The flashing vertical to horizontal creates a cross, which has many meanings. The fact that you were being asked over and over again if you lied, cheated, or stole could be something that is weighing on your concious that needs to be dealt with. The fact that it was a female is interesting. In Sophian Gnosticism wisdom is female. It might be something you might want to check into, if you are interested. I wish you the best of luck, and if you would like to chat further at any time feel free to email me. Namaste-Anora
