danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called is walking can lose weight? in obesity.
Walking is a good exercise for burning fat and is easy on the joints. I think your friend is right, and it can be effective for burning fat, and is good for your heart! Good luck!

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called Obese children in health.
I agree with you to a certain degree. Parents need to take more responsibility in the kinds of food they feed the children to help deal with obesity. That is not the only problem. Also, high-fat and high sugar foods are the cheapest, so if you don't have much money, you have to buy those for your family a lot of the time.

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called Do You Like Lord Of The Rings Movies? in the lord of the rings.
They are very long, and watching more than one in a row will put you out. You have to be up for it, but if you pay attention to the story, and like good acting, you should enjoy. The fighting scenes are great. I would recommend them.

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called What do u do if a friend hurriedly borrows money for fare and forgets about it? in people.
After two years, I would just let it go. had it been back at that time, I would have just politely reminded them back at the office that they owed me money, and keep doing so until I got it back.

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called Love or hate them: How do you feel about the holidays? in life.
Well, they can be complicated, but generally I enjoy them. My family will have some arguments, and some have passed but it is always nice, in the end, to see them and talk about life. I typically only get presents for my super close family, and we have rules on how expensive they can be so it never gets political.

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called Do you like folding clothes too as a chore? in shopping.

I don't like it, but I don't really dislike it either. I live alone, so I view it as just something I have to do. I guess I am neutral!

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called Facebook or Friendster? in facebook.com.

I use facebook. I have heard of friendster but have never tried it. Maybe it is worth a shot, and I might check it out soon.

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called What can You Do in One Minute? in questions & answers.

In one minute I can a little more than 1/4 mile. I can type 70 words. I can write a quick response on mylot. I can text a friend. I can watch a TV commercial. Yep... And much more I think.

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called Who all have watched 2012? in watching movies.

I have seen the movie. I really liked it and the visual effects were absolutely stunning. The plot was a little weak, but that's okay for a movie like this. I don't believe the world will end, but it makes for a good movie.

danrunsfast614 responded to a discussion called Can you trace your family roots to Mayflower heritage? in people.
I have no idea but I doubt it. I only know my roots back to the late 19th Century. I'm still 2 centuries off from the Mayflower. I don't know if I would have back then. It really depends on what my religious beliefs would have been at the time.

Do you have a tatoo?

I am thinking I will get one. I have had an idea for years and am still attracted to it, so I don't think it would be a bad idea. I would get it on the left side of my upper back. It is this dead...

How do you cook top ramen?

Trying to live cheap. I was wondering if anyone has any good ideas for how to cook top ramen, more than just the usual buying it and adding flavor. I sometimes throw in peanut butter and let it warm...

Do you wear matching socks?

Lately I have been being very lazy. I have quit matching socks and when I put them on in the morning sometimes I end up with a black one and a white one on. Or a long and a short one. Or sometimes I...

How many miles a week do you run?

Right now I run about 50, am just curious what others do? And if you run to keep fit or to race races?
