New Season of Amazing Race

A discuss of the new season of Amazing Race. Who I like, who I don't and who I think will win. Being that the season just started I dont really know who will win. This show is easier for me that survivor to know who I want to win right of the bat. I am routing for Margie and Luke(the mother and son team, luke is deaf). I'm not routing for them just because Luke is deaf, I like the way they work as a team. It reminds me of last season Toni and Dallas, who I wanted to win. I don't like Linda and Steve. I did felt bad for Linda when Steve was telling her that she was slow and she was costing them the race. I just don't understand her. She has watched this show before, she knows that the challenges are going to be physical. I know she was told enough time in advance that she was going to be a contestant to train a little just so she would be use to doing physical things. Hey Im not trying to talk about her but it just got on my nerves that she acted like she did not know or expect that she was going to have to run. I knew from the begining that Jennifer and Preston would not last long because of the way that they communicate. They must thrive on Drama. I didnt think that they would be the first team gone but Christi and Jodi just out-ran them. Jennifer had nothing left at the end, Preston had to carry her. What are your thoughts?

I am happy to see there are no guy buddy teams (except for the stuntmen but they have a slight disadvantage). In the past, the brothers and buddies teams always seemed to have the advantage. I think viewers like to cheer for the underdog, especially those who are nice and not nasty. Both Margie and Luke, and the stuntmen have a disadvantage and I would like to see either one of these teams win. It would be a nice change, that's for sure. As for who I THINK WILL win? Haven't a clue at this point. Too soon to tell. The Amazing Race is always a great show, never a disappointment (not like Survivor when one team wins time after time after time and turns the show boring). The Amazing Race can never be boring.

I didn't think they would make it very far and out of everybody I'm okay with them them leaving.

What does everyone think about last nights episode? I was sad that Linda and Steve got eliminated. She really tried hard. They almost made it. If Christi and Jodi wouldn't have found they wood chopper, the might have came in last. Im glad the wind stoped for Mel, I like that team and I did not want to see them leave. No team really annoy's me yet. Usually by now one team usually does. Last year it was Ken and Tina and the Frat boys

I knew that they weren't going to last long too. I just felt bad for Linda. She really was not cut out for this race but she tried better in this episode than last weeks. I wanted them to go home last week. Tammy and Victor completly dominated everyone but Victor kinda gets on my nevers. Im still pulling for Margie and Luke.

Great assessment! I love that the Amazing Race is back! It's one of my favourite shows! This, How I Met Your Mother and Numb3rs are the only TV shows I set aside to watch anymore. I really like Mel and Mike. I remembered him from School of Rock before he even mentioned it in his introduction at the top of the show. The way the two worked together was really good. Good people, good personalities, and a treat to watch. I'd like to see them do well. Mark and Michael are fun too but I'm not sure how long they'll last. They seem like smart people and obviously as stunt-men they have the physical abilities, but there's just something about them that makes me think they wont go far (and not their size).

oh, and as a side note....I thought it was very cruel of the Amazing Race to have the very first pit stop one you had to find by listening to yodelers, knowing one of their contestants was deaf. I'm not sure which one of those they select first, the routes, the challenges or the contestants but I thought it was a classless move.

I agree about the yoleding. It was hard for the people who could hear. I agree and mike and mark too. They dont seem to good at making friends. Tammy and Victor sure dont like them.

Hi Rene! I know nothing about the Amazing Race, as it sounds like an American Show and I'm in England. lol. What I did notice though was that you're a newcomer to this site, with no responses as yet, so I thought I would come and welcome you, and be your first response at the same time. I'd like to give my views on the Amazing Race, but in fact, I have no idea what or who you are talking about, so I'll have to abstain this time. I would like to add you to my friends list though, because your way of making discussion looks good to me, and I'd like to look out your future discussions. I'll send you a request. Brightest Blessings and keep up the good work! x

Amazing Race is one of my favorite shows, I think it's definitely the best reality show. By the end I get really emotional. The pairs all go through so much by the time the last few get to the end! I enjoy seeing the people do the tasks, but it's also fun to see the interaction between them, and how they handle the differences in language and customs. Some of them are so rude and some so friendly! My mother and I enjoy watching this show together. We usually pick the same team to root for.
