I was watching the news coverage on the Buffalo airplane crash and it posed a dilemma for me. Initially the news kid of inferred that the plane basically dropped out of the sky burst into flames and that was it. The imagery implied it was a swift almost unforewarned end for those poor souls who lost their lives. Now they are showing detailed imagary of the plane last minutes when it was pitching from side to side in all directions and almost a complete spin, talking of losing 800 feet in 5 secs and the ensuing G Forces. Had I had relatives on that plane I would have initially consoled myself with the fact that it was a swift sudden end, now it is clear it was anything but and they are painting a picture of a horrendous roller coaster last few minutes ending in the fireball on the ground. Was this really necessary to release this information to the general public? would you have wanted to know these details or is it a case that sometimes ignorance is bliss?

I think it's horrid how everything turns into a show for the media and the more grim it is the more they make a show out of it. I would like to know but not through something on the television. What happened to privacy and respect, especially for those no longer here?

Seems to me in America "privacy" and "respect" are unknown words to the major media channels!
