Life is not atall safe and uncertain but why is it that only girls are not safe?Walking down the street,in the schools-colleges,while in the market or malls..anywhere...everyday one or the other thing comes up in the newspaper or television giving news bout eve-teasing,murder,kidnapping of girls. The worst part is girls are not safe in their own houses...I don't understand why???Is the soul of human beings dead??

Hi ... Its to do different laws that pertain to a country and the social status of the society .Not that girls aren't safe but society has made them like that in certain countries .But these days no one is safe. Its best everyone takes up some self defense courses,to protect themselves Cheers

I think it is more common in certain places than otherwise. For example, you and I come from the same place, and so I can understand your point. To be honest I want to ask you one thing. Where do we get to learn about ethics in India? In classrooms or at home? I think our Indian society is religious, but our religiosity fails to include ethics in our religious discourse. It is there in the sacred books, but nobody reads and nobody teaches. I think we need to rethink our religious outlook.I also our educational system is not robust enough to teach us about ethics. The biggest theives are the more educated ones. And family which is supposed to teach us about values are not different either cos family are situated within society, and so peers' influence is so strong. I think we need to bring transformation at all these levels. I think I can ask, why raise issue only for women? Why not for the poor? Why not for the Dalits? Why not for the disabled? All of them are at the receiving end of society's wickedness. However, the question remains how to bring transformation. Answers may differ but mine is also there. I'm not sure if you'd like to hear!
