What is That Code?

Hi everyone,
I'm sure all of you have been to sites that ask you to enter a code with the scribbled letter or numbers. They are so annoying. I'm not talking about the easy ones where you can actually read the character, I'm talking about the ones that are so unclear that you have to do it a million times.
I know that it is for spamming reasons, but do they really have to make it so hard to read?

I agree with you, they are sometimes impossible to decipher. The easier to read ones must do the same job otherwise other places wouldn't use them. It puts me off using some sites.

Those codes to me are annoying. I know they serve a purpose, but some dont need to be so hard and unclear to read so i have to agree with you. Im not sure why they do this to us and make us sit and do it over and over. Sometimes i check back to make sure everything was done proper but it was and then i just look like an idiot LOL.
