Matthew McConaughey full times it in an RV

Do you have an RV? If so, do you use it more or less with the economy as it is? I would think, besides gas, this would be a more economical vacation then some. For us, it wouldn't work as we have family far away and thus have to spend up precious vacation time/money visiting them in two different states. If you don't have an RV, would you get one or wait a few years? Would you consider as Matthew McConaughey does, living in one fulltime. He travels to where movies are being filmed and is at home, but his permanent lot overlooks the ocean. http://www.architecturaldigest.com/homes/homes/2008/11/mcconaughey_article I like the idea of vacationing in one of these babies - an RV - because whereever you go, you're always home.

That would be an interesting way to live but kind of makes sense for an actor. And its sorta something that I would expect someone like Matthew to do. lol. At least he has a good view at this permanent lot. I don't have an RV, I am more of the camping out sort for that kind of vacation, and I don't vacation much, I fly to Arkansas every year to visit the family and make take a weekend trip to Vegas every year but thats about it.

Yes I wasn't surprised at all that he lives such a Bohemian (kind of the word I want) lifestyle. The closest I've come to camping out is going white water rafting in Sacramento. We stayed overnight the day before our ride. But we had a little tent and I had yoga mats underneath our sleeping bags so we kind of cheated. And there were nice bathrooms close by. Yes, since we live far away from family - my family is in one state, his in another, we kind of have no choice but to spend our vacation time and money on visiting family. I so wish they were close so we could go somewhere!

Thats easy camping. I have camped in the middle of the desert with no running water. It was so much fun.

I've always thought that camping in the desert would be just amazing. Beautiful and awe inspiring.

He lives with his girlfriend/mother of his child in the thing and I've seen the size of it. It doesn't look that big. Now I like the boy. But 'ol Matthew has been a little different ever since the Texas police arrested him for smoking pot while playing his set of bongos, naked. Uh, that wasn't meant to sound dirty. That is what he was playing. Disturbing the peace and pot smoking...I still like him, but he sure is different.

That would be fun! I recently bought a 32 foot camper with my kids..it's on a spot for the summer so we don't drag it around but we can....next year we might park it someplace else....and it's like a home away from home too...we are having so much fun setting it up!

That is sooooooo cool and what a huge sounding camper. I love the idea of home away from home. Better for younger kids too - they can have their familiar pillows and blanket and toys.
