It's a pretty easy question this time isn't it? What is everyone having for dinner tonight? Are you cooking? Are you going out to dinner? I like this question as it will give me some insight about my myLot friends and what they like to eat. It also gives me a lot of ideas for things that I can cook in the future. By the way, dinner here will be very simple tonight. I took some chili out of the freezer that I had made a couple weeks ago and I'm serving chili, cheese doge with the works. Couldn't be simpler but I've had a craving for a chili dog since I made the chili so I'm finally going to satisfy my craving!;)

Thanks for all of the extra information, I really appreciate it! It's also great to know about the olive oil etc. as the fat is one of the reasons I don't eat fried fish very often. I usually steam it but now that I know this I can have my favorite fried fish more often! It is also good brain food. Research shows that those people that eat fish at least once a week were significantly less likely to develop Alzheimer's disease so I suppose if we eat fish once a week we not only help our heart significantly but our brains also! Fish truly is an amazing food as well as tasty! ;)

Ahhh so you like fried fish too. Don't know you it is also good for the heart. Research shows that eating fish once or twice a week is good for the heart. If you pan-fry fish at home in a tablespoon of an olive oil, most of the fat is healthy an unsaturated fat and you don't get any trans fat. You can even make more meals by choosing a salmon or another fish rich in heart-healthy omega-3 fats and serving it with a whole grain and other vegetables. American Heart Association even recommends preparing it in an olive oil, canola or another healthful oil probably isn't that far behind broiling and baking when it comes to your heart. Have A Happy MyLotting my friend :)

I'm either thinking of homemade corn chowder or homemade New England clam chowder. It depends on whether it warms up or not. It will be served with homemade french bread and butter. Yummy!

Well tonight I'm not cooking, so you'll not get any ideas here. My husband's parents are visiting so we will go to his brother's house to visit. I think we will then eat out together. As for chilli, I've been wanting to make some and have chilli with baked potatoes and cheese. Enjoy your chilli cheese dogs!

Thanks! and the chili cheese dogs were delicious, just what the doctor ordered! Your recipe of chili with baked potatoes and cheese sounds great also. Next time I make chili I am going to put a bit away just for that! I always hold back a little chili just for those little extras! Thanks for responding! ;)

Dinner tonight was cavatelli. I'd thought of ordering a pizza, but figured since I had the stuff here to cook I should save the money instead. And I love pasta anyway, especially cavatelli.

Tonight, I am cooking. We are having Garlic Chicken Stir-Fry on top of white rice. With adding most of the minced garlic, it gives it that nice zesty taste. The rice makes the meal more filling too. After dinner, we will probably have some ice cream, cookies n cream, to be exact. It's the one meal that my kids will eat all night long.

That does sound so good, I'm going to have to give that one a try...I absolutely love garlic and I'm very partial to ice cream too! Thanks for responding! ;)

We had ground beef with refried beans and tortillas. Everthing but the tortillas were homemade. I did cook. We stayed in. Chili sounds good though. I might make that tomorrow. Thanks for reminding me. I've been meaning to make some. Do you put beans in yours.

I love Mexican food in fact Mexican and Thai are my favorites! And about how I make chili, yes, I always put beans in my chili, brown beans in fact. But I enjoy chili with or without beans but Hubby likes the beans so I always put them in. And you can use any kind of beans, my Mother use to always use kidney beans and I have a cousin that always use white Navy beans, personally I like chili any way it comes! Sorry for the late answer but with all of these responses it has taken a while! Thanks so much for responding! ;)

My hubby cooked last night, which was really nice. He made oven baken crispy chicken with rice and green beans. This is actually a question I usually hate. It seems like we usually have the same things over and over and we're all tired of it. But I don't have the time, money and energy to search out new things to do with the old stuff. I have lots of meals that are cheap, healthy and filling, but we're sick of them all LOL

It sounds like a good meal to me. I go through the same thing, I seem to always make the same old things when I could easily take the same ingredients and make something different. With me I am just plain lazy I suppose! Sorry for the late response but with all of these answers it has taken me a while! Thanks for responding! ;)

Having the remains of Christmas, tonite! Always make a great big Turkey soup, loaded with veggies...just took out of the freezer, and microwave some whole wheat pasta! I find the whole wheat pastas take much longer to cook...so that when I do cook some, I cook exta to freeze, so that dinner can happen faster! Chili sounds great, haven't made it for a long time.....as I love tomatoes (not paste) in it but have to take the time to remove the seeds of the tomatoes, due to a disease that I have ... no seeds, nuts (darn)! Please, have some Chili for me!

Well I suppose it is the least I can do to return the favor to antiquelady, a couple of responses above you, when I ask her to save me a piece of pie!! I'll definitely have some chili for you tonight! I really love chili and I am a great fan of tomatoes, too bad about you and the seeds and nuts! Your dinner sounds really good too, I always had a fondness for leftover turkey soup and the whole wheat pasta sounds good too even though I don't remember ever having it, but I do know it's suppose to be very good for you. Thanks for responding! ;)

Although I usually have no idea of what's for dinner at eight o clock in the morning, I have acctually decided to make Goat CHeese stuffed chicken breats with red bell peppers! They are very good and pretty healthy, and I think I will serve them with a green slald as well! Have a great day!

Light Food is always preferred. But working women who are tired after their official work would not prefer to work even after coming to home rather think of taking rest.So always when it comes to simple food Bread Butter, or small snacks and simple breakfast type of meals will do.

It may sound like an easy question to answer, but believe me when I say that its the most dreaded question to many wives/ mothers who are frankly fed up of cooking almost the same fare everyday! Whew! Well, I'm not among the above lot for sure. Thank God for that! Dinner at our place is a simple affair. I and my hubby have stopped having a 'proper' dinner from years now. We either have sandwiches n soup, or whole wheat pasta with hot milk as drink, veg noodles with cold coffee, sprout salad with garlic bread....anything light for that matter. In this way we sleep light (it has other ;-) advantages too!) instead of being bloated. It also keeps as healthy as heavy dinners are the major reason for that mid-riff weight problem. Cheers to good-health!

I agree with you that a light meal in the evening is much healthier, unfortunately a lot of people only grab sandwiches or snacks the rest of the day as they are working so a nice, hot evening meal is what they look forward to all day. In The Netherlands where I live though a lot of people have their big, hot meal for lunch and have the lighter food for dinner also. It's much healthier and much better for watching your weight also. Sorry it took me so long to answer but with all of these responses it has taken a while! Thanks for responding! ;)

Well for 'afternoon tea' I was a bit naughty and had McDonalds. I had a double-beef cheeseburger, small fries, 6 chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce and an icy cold coke. For dinner I have chicken drumsticks coated in plain flour and shallow fried in an electric frying pan. Steamed peas, carrots and corn on the cob. Mashed potato and pumpkin mixed together (with butter and milk). I love to dip my potato and pumpkin mash in my peas!

We will be having pork chop for dinner. That will be an hour from now. My sister will be doing the cooking because she is the better cook at home. Besides i don't know how to cook but i do know how to fry. The family is just playing it safe so they let my sister do the cooking.
