Why do we label and judge?

Time to whip out the label makers! In today's world, we are ready to judge anything and everyone. Why is this? Why do we have to tag things with labels and stereotypes. Do we do this subconsciously or are we well aware that we are judging people because of what they do or say? Do you judge and label others because of what they wear or what they listen to or do you attempt to me a decent human being and accept other people's faults and flaws?

I try not to judge other people. I try hard but it´not an easy task. I have found that I have a tendency to judge more the people I love. And that is not fair to them. I can say that you have to accept every person as he is, but I don´t do it with my own beloved ones always.

Be careful, especially with younger "beloved" ones as this can scar them for life. Kids are vrey sensitive to negative comments and judgements and remember this much longer then positive and it sets in their psyche more deeply. I like to think that I take everyone as I find them and not pre-judge anyone on how they look/where their from etc but I suspect that we all have some sort of subconscious preconcieved notions which affect the way we behave towards or how we feel about others. Its just that some people look beyond them. I tend to see the good in everyone but trust no-one!!
