Marriage before 18 years of age?

It is said for the girls that Getting married at the age bellow 18 years is not good. In India it is a law that a girl should not get married before shegtets uptto 18 years still so many girls in rural parts are getting married before they becomes of 18 years. what do say is it realy bad or just ok?

I don't think it's wise for a girl to marry before 18 and if I had my way they would be single till they were 24. The body isn't mature till 18 or beyond that and for someone younger than 18 to marry, their minds and emotions are also immature and I don't think they're ready for the physical and emotional requirements of marriage.

yes dragon54u, matured mind and body is the basic need ofr getting married than only one can handle their physical and emotional needs. Thanks for the response

Well, it is a law and what they are believe in. However, I hate to say it is not good for under 18 to get marry. She doesn't know much about real life yet, and she become a wife and then a mother? well, it is hard and I know the man as a husband won't be the Head of Household and control on her for sure. I dont understand why they want their children to get marry at the young age. It is illegal in the U.S.A, minor can't get marry to old man, but I heard they have some exception. Don't matter what I say Good or Not good about it, because it is their law.

Thanks smileonstar for your response. Actualy i is an very old tradition to get child marriage at the earlier age. one of the major reason bhind this is that at the old times peoples belive that a gilr should get amrried before she atarted get their periods. If a girls gets their periods started before marriage than hey consider this to be sin. I think at those times girls are not judged by the age but by their physique and girls with good haealth looks much stronger and elder and even grows faster.

I understand that there are still a lot of arranged marriages there. I'm guessing that may be part of some getting married so young. I think that girls should be a lot older before they get married. At 18 they have not really had time to mature.

I was married the first time when I was only 17 years old, and it was definately a mistake!
