Do we search for God, or does God choose us?

So, what is your opinion? Do you think we search for God, or do you think He choose us so that we know Him? In my opinion - God has chosen us first to be His child. It doesnt matter whether we want it or not, He has more than 1001 ways to make us finally accept Him... Sometimes, though after we know Him more, many of us make mistake, or started to go back to our earthly ways, and later on when we regret it, we become the one who seek God again to ask for forgiveness.. So what is your opinion?

Who knows what god is and what he wants? Everyone seems to have the answer to the eternal questions. I have stopped asking about god and just do what needs to be done in this life. I do not have the capability to figure out god and his desires. Cheers!!

I believe in the doctrine of election so I believe God chose us first before we come to Him. Jesus says "You will not come to me unless the Father draws you to me." But we have also to seek Him with all our heart to find Him as it is written, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."

I do not believe in God traditionally (like I do not believe in God the way any religion tells me to). Personally I believe God is just another energy from where things where created. May it be that the universe is God or be it something outside the universe we will never find. Yet as obvious as gravity. Just another force we can't explain. I do believe that we search for answers ourselves. I believe in the spiritual where you "plan" your life to live and become a better person on the other side. You might plan for it to be a struggle for you to believe - what good would it do for you to know deep in your heart what God is and that is just how it exists. What your purpose of life is etc. You'd have nothing to fear, lose or learn. That's my opinion :)

In the Bible it says, "No man can come unto Me (Jesus) unless the Father (God) draw him." The Bible also says, "It is not God's Will that any man should perish." Sounds to me like God the Father does the drawing. (I would take the time to look up the references and apologize if this is a bit off but the program freezes if I leave it for too long.) We also have free will to make the choice to answer the call when God draws us. It is a two-way relationship. God does His part we must do ours. Adam and Eve chose their own way. Abraham and Sarah chose God, but still were human and stumbled from time to time. The people of the Bible that loved God and followed his drawing (calling) were by no means perfect. They're stories are written for us to learn from. Some came back to God, some did not. The bottom line is that God is love. That is His essence. That is His DNA.

We are all children of God. I guess that was His choice. We all have freedom to make all our choices. Some look for God. Others don't. Life is the journey of the discovery of knowledge.God will work around our choices with people and parameters to teach us.God is unconditional love so you never have to worry. You are eternal. MAKE GOOD CHOICES for the lessons you learn might just come from the consequences of your actions. When we acquire true wisdom, we will realize there is only one answerunconditional love.
