Which books should be made into movies?

There are a lot of books that would make good movies, but sometimes what we love on the page doesn't translate well onto the screen. There are some plots which require so much description, so many characters, that unless we want to be glued to our seat in a theater for ten hours, we'd miss a lot. That being said, Rules of Survival, is a young adult book that I think should be made into a movie. It has a lot of human momentum and because it's not very long should translate really well. It's complicated and quick. There's a lot of action but it's not the sort that would tire an audience out. I wish I could remember the author's name, but it would be an excellent vehicle for some great director.
