Having trouble with Helium!

I have stopped making earnings. At least, that's what looks like is happening. I started on Helium over a year ago, and only published a couple articles. After a while, they stopped earning, and I figured it was because they weren't being read or rated anymore. Now, I've started using Helium again, but I'm not earning anything... My ratings are changing, so my articles must be read and rated, and some of them are actually doing very well. I'm wondering though, why am I not seeing any earnings in my account? Has anyone else had this problem before?

Are you rating any articles? You must maintain one rating star in order to earn any money, or at least that is what I read. As soon as I started rating articles and got one rating star then I started to earn some money. I don't really care for rating articles, and I have lost my rating star recently, so I am not earning any money. I guess I just need to rate some more. I tried to write an article for associated content but it wasn't accepted. I think I would like helium a lot if there was no rating involved. I'm wondering if I do a lot of rating within a couple of days and get my rating stars high then maybe I won't have to rate for a while after that. I think I could earn quite a bit from helium if I could get used to the rating. A lot of the articles that they want me to read and rate I am not interested in. I also feel like rating the articles take a lot of time. Especially if you rate a lot of articles at one time. Anyway I would rate some articles if I were you and see if you get a rating star, then see if your earnings go up any.

You can make use of that "skip" button. I tend to use it a lot, I skip articles I have no interest in, when I find it hard for me to decide which article is better, or when I'm doing speed rating. (more of that below) Speed rating is when I scan through the articles, only rating when it's pretty obvious that one article is clearly better than the other e.g one huge wall of text compared to a well formated article or an article with so many grammar errors that it's seriously affecting the flow of the article compared to another one that's relatively free of grammar and spelling mistakes. Anything that I can't easily tell which is better, I skip. I tend to do this when I know that I'll be online for only a short time but I don't want to waste my 10 skips.

You have to rate other people article along with writing quality articles. I have no writing stars, however I do contiune to write and I have five rating stars. I have about four articles that are in the number 1 slot. I have almost reached my payout.

They keep changing their payout system. I thought you had to have 1 star rating and writing to earn anything so I stopped writing there. I do pretty well at associated content and I just heard about a new site Bukisa that pays per view. If you would like a link to the site just PM me and I will send it to you. I don't know how well it works because I just started with it this week, but I can let you know how it goes.

Well just b/c your ratings are changin doesnt mean that you'll be making money (even though statistically you should be). But you don't earn money when they see your article on the Rating pages...only when they visit them seperatly. But you should make sure you rate too, so you can earn your rating stars. And just keep writing to get your writing star. That will make you more successful on the site. Share the link to your page on here and you should defeniatly get some readers! :) Good luck! *What are your articles about? Are they popular subjects?

I am also a Helium member for a long time. yes, we will not be earning if we are not actively rating and writing. When I first joined, the earning only depends on page views and rating.. but now they have new scheme.. You have to maintain at least 1 rating star and you will earn.. YOu will be paid upfront for the new article you wrote depending upon your writing and rating star. You can read more about this in Helium.. and they will adjust their payment once a month. It is on the 25th of the month. Which means, you will know hoe much you earn for the month after the 25th. You can also earn $1 for the empty title. At the moment I am not spending too much time in there. Good luck

Ya, what o2bnocn said. Helium now requires you to have a rating star before you can earn, either from upfront payment or page views. On the plus side, it seems that the amount you get from page views has increaded by quite a substanial amount. Since it appears you haven't been keeping track, I'll just summarise the changes that Helium has implemented since a year ago Upfront payment for articles. Payment= $0.50 x number of writing stars per article. Certain topics, like creeative writing are excludef from payment Writing to an empty title nets you $1. Requiring a rating star to earn. Having 5 rating stars at the end of the month nets you $3. Allowing you to include links in your Helium articles.
