Favorite Coctails -- Drinking in bars and restaurants

Every now and then I get the urge to have a "real" drink. Because I don't really drink liqour and when I do I prefer mixed drinks I never know what to order. (I hate beer.) Whenever someone asks me what I want I can never think of any names of drinks I know that I like. For a while, whenever I went some place that didn't have a decent wine selection, I would order a screwdriver but that started to get old. A friend of mine who was a bartender made me a martini once but I didn't like it. This past New Year's eve I tried a Cosmopolitan and that worked out pretty well because it is fruity but not too sweet. I'm not crazy about Rum but I do like a good Mojito. It's hard to find places that keep fresh mint on hand though. I also like a good margarita but I usually only order them when I am having mexican food. I like the ones that kind of taste like lemonade where you don't realize there's alcohol in them until later. You have to be careful though because not all places make them from scratch and sour mix gives me a stomach ache. What is your favorite drink to order when you go out?
