How do you feel if an old friend calls after some 20-30 years and comes over?

This happened to me the other day. i was sitting at home at about 8 PM and was about to pour myself a drink when I got a call from an old friend. Initially i could not place him as the call had come out of the blue. When i recollected, it was such a pleasure talking to him. When he told me that he was coming over in half an hour, i was ecstatic. i could not believe that he was actually coming over. it was a great reunion and we spend many hours reminiscing about the old days spent together in college.
Have you ever had such surprises in life? how do yo feel about it?

It happened to me a few months ago when I ran into someone I had least expected. It was an old friend of mine from school and I absolutely couldn't remember her name while she knew everything about me. It was pretty embarrassing as I was trying to give ambiguous answers and finally had to admit that I couldn't remember name. She couldn't hide her disappointment too well lol. We then had a great time talking about the olden times :)

I actually had the same thing happen a couple of years ago. Somebody I hadn't heard from since high school connected with me once again. It was such a wonderful surprise to hear from them after so many (and I do mean many) years lol. Now we keep in touch by email, and when she comes to our hometown once a year, from the other side of our country, we get together with other classmates for a little informal reunion of sorts.
Then about 5 years ago, I got a call out of the blue from an old neighbor I had been close friends with. They moved to a different state, and we had moved too, and in that time we lost addresses as well as contact. We are still very close now that we've re-found each other, and we try and call here and there, and also keep up with each others families by email. Isn't it wonderful when these kinds of great surprises come into our lives?!
