The Redskins give Albert Haynesworth 41 million dollars up front. Is he worth that kind of money. Will he be able to live up to the expectations? Is any athlete worth that kind of money? What are your views on Athletes being paid millions of dollars to play a game?

You have to remember this is the Washington Redskins, they are use to over paying for talent that doesn't perform. To them it is 100% worth it, they are like the Raiders in the 90's, they will spend what ever it takes to win. And, they will be luck to make the playoffs. If you look at the teams that have won the super bowl of late you will see a small number of free agents. You have to build a Super Bowl team from the ground up.

I definitely have to agree. The Redskins are throwing their money away just like the Raiders have in the past. They invested 100 million dollars in a player who can not control his temper and perhaps won't play to his full potential because he's already cashed in for life. Looks like Washington will be dealing with another Dana Stubblefield. Haynesworth will be a huge bust in Washington.

No one is worth that kind of money. I am sure he is good and hopefully can stay healthy but he is a defensive lineman. They aren't going to sell a ton of his jerseys to make money off of. Washington has try to buy wins before with spending sprees and it has never worked. I just can't see dropping that kind of money but I sure would not turn it down.
