um...as a Chinese girl,i'd love to choose GuQin as my favorite music instrument.GuQin is the oldest instrument in China, actually maybe you ve seen it on the opening ceremony of BeiJing olympic Games. It stands for the long music history of China. And it sounds very well, the voice of GuQin can make you calm down and blow your heart away. If you come to China someday, you'd better listening the beautiful GuQin playing:)

You're right, but the GuQin has a longer history than zither.and GuQin has more better voice,BTY, it's more harder to play too.:)

Yeah Ive seen it. If I wasnt wrong, its similar to my country native instrument "kecapi". Its a chinese long zither type instrument right?

Its a good piano/keyboard/organ is a good instrument too. Well maybe you should try playing guitar. It will be hard at first, but after some time, you will get used to it. The key is keep practicing everyday, although its only 15 minutes.

I like the piano.Though i know how to play the piano i don't have any formal training on it ,so someday I would really want to take lessons in piano and know how to play seeing the notes.

For me, formal training is not that necessary. The most important thing is that we really dedicate ourself to our training.

Oh this is a hard question because I play a lot of instruments and I like quite a few more too that I don't play. But I think I would have to say my very favorite instrument is the chromatic harmonica. I can play just about anywhere, just take it out of my bag and start playing. And you can play so many songs on a chromatic harmonica. I do enjoy guitar as well, but I really had more fun with guitar back when I was in a guitar ensemble.

My favourite instrument is the guitar, I strangely enough play the acoustic the most (though i'm a heavy metal fan I find the acoustic to be more enjoyable to play), the great thing about guitar is it gets the creative side out of you, I find it better to be self - taught as it's more creative and more fun to play and just how dedicated you are to music. I have so many inspirational guitar players like Tony Iommi, Ritchie Blackmore, Dimebag Darrel, Adrian Smith etc there's just so many great guitar players out there. I would also like to play the drums once I can afford and just play the drums as a hobbie but that will probably be after school. The great thing is also is that playing instruments can also be hard work and fun and playing an instrument is not an easy thing to do you just gotta keep at itand focus when you play the instrument! ! Cheers

Yeah you right, its cool when some band swing their guitar in their gigs, or play guitar with their teeth, and even after they finished their song the guitarist smash their guitar into pieces. Its cool, but I will not do the last one, since I still loved my guitar and I cant afford to buy another one. :)

My favourite instrument is any non temperate instrument (I don't know what it is called in English. In Swedish its "tempererat") meaning instruments that don't have SPECIFIC tones. It makes music so much more emotional, being able to be close to a tone. It gives the songs more life and interest.

Yeah, beside guitar, I also like my nation traditional music instrument. Its called "Gamelan", "Suling", "Kecapi", and many more. It have a good sound and very relaxing to listen. But sadly, some people from my country started to forget about their own traditional music.

I recommend you to play guitar since its fun and I think it really can express your thought in it compared to other instrument. (or maybe because of my knowledge is limited to guitar only :))

I have a few favorite instruments. I like Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Keyboard/Piano, and Drums. I never tried to play on drums but they have always been my favorite instrument, because of the sounds it makes. I currently play the keyboard and both guitar. I enjoy it very much and I love playing songs and spending time with that when I'm bored. I never took lessons in any of those instruments but I can play really good now because I was learning off the Internet.

Yeah i think so, first I took a guitar lesson, but after several month, I quit and then I learned by myself from the internet and my friend. And I learned more from my friend and internet compared to my guitar lesson. And also its cheaper. :)

I love the cello. Warm tones and held out notes keep an orchestra in rhythm and also have filler. It's like the whipped cream on a drink.

Before I learned guitar, I often listen to classical music. But after I learned guitar, I dont listen to classical music too often. Yeah, cello is a good filler, like in the Canon in D Rock played by funtwo. It make the songs feel more alive.
