The only answer I can give to your question is for you to look around you at nature and at the universe itself. There is order in all thing and why should it not be the same with us? From observing all things, It does not appear that life ends but simply continues in a new dimension that we cannot truly comprehend from our present viewpoint. Your mother is likely very close to you but also enjoying a greater freedom than is possible while in this physical body. Blessings.
