apparently she was in her parents car which had been reported as stolen, and she kicked her shoe off and hit the officer in the shin while calling him a "Fat pig".
Apparently the penalty for shoe throwing is higher in America....
There is a news story in the Seattle newspaper. I guess it happened in November, but the judge just released the video on Friday.

wow really?!?! their losing their jobs now, shes a miner. thats crazy, im going to look into that, i havn't seen it.

wow! Police need to save their brutality for the punks who deserve it, not a child that doesn't know what she's saying! I agree with the first responder, their losing their jobs!

I saw a small clip of that on TV the other night. I wanted to see the whole story, but my husband flipped the channel. I did see two cops by her and she was on the floor and one cop was over her beating the heck out of her. I do not know why some cops think that they have the right to beat people up. So what if she called them a pig, it is just a word. These cops should be prosecuted to the fullest extent, and that child's parents should sue the police department.
It is outrageous.

That is appalling to beat a 15 year old girl! Sometimes these cops think highly of themselves and do such heinous things with no regards to humanity. They are not right in beating up the girl just because she called them "fat pigs". And they probably are fat too. There are other ways to discipline her. I haven't seen the video as yet. I shall search for it.
