I love the Mac Hello Kitty combo. The products are beyond cute, they are great. The lipsticks with the smart stamp inside are fabulous and go on very smooth. I am a fan, are you? Let me know what you think. I just posted an article on my blog about it, if you wish to check it out do to www.theglamreporter.com

It's not a product I would buy, but I think it makes perfect sense for MAC and Hello Kitty to present a line together. After all, MAC did the same thing with Barbie and it was a huge success. I think Hello Kitty will bring MAC the younger customers it targets.

MAC doesn't target pre-teens and children, though. I started liking MAC at maybe age 16, when I really started getting into makeup, but I don't think they should be targetting younger Hello Kitty fans, just because I don't think younger kids should have to worry about wearing makeup, and maybe with MAC endorsing Hello Kitty, they might want to.

Sorry. By "younger", I meant younger than me. LOL. I'm talking about MAC's usual target, which would be 18, 20 somethings. Hello Kitty is big with the young (as in younger than me) adult crowd right now.

I'm not sure if I like it or not because I haven't tried the makeup yet but I am a huge Hello Kitty fan and I have been my whole life. I really like your blog, I'll be sure to check it again sometime.

I loved it, I think it's a great idea, and it's going to sell so much, there are millions of Hello Kitty fans out there, including myself. And I seen the pictures, the make up is really pretty and colorful, a lot of metallic colors. I think it's awesome!

This is weird. I personally love MAC, but why would they do this? Are they trying to expand their target consumers to pre-teens and children, too? (In which case there might be a moral-issue at stake: is MAC promoting younger teens & children to wear makeup at an early age?) Or is this new merge for adults who are fans of Hello Kitty? I'm a little confused, if you haven't noticed. I don't know, I don't think I'm a fan. MAC making Hello Kitty products also kind-of undermines the professional quality of their products, don't you think? I think it's a cute idea, but odd.. & It kind of sends out a weird message. *shrugs*.

You definitely have a point and your response will probably make people think. Since I am a lot older than a teen and still love Hello Kitty, I did not think of it that way. I do believe that Hello Kitty products have a vast older following too such as myself and the marriage between the two makes for a fun product. The quality is good too. However, I see what you are saying and I have to agree that I do not endorse that young girls get into makeup too early but it plays a part how they were raised and how much influence their parents have on them. I started wearing makeup at 22 years old which is old for most. I see that girls use makeup much younger now. A little is ok I guess but young skin should not be covered.
