Do you believe those infomercials that come on in the wee hours

of the morning? I see them every morning and I think because my tv automatically comes on the annoucer enters my dreams and this subliminal advertising (literally) gets into my core. Because sometimes I wake up and I am like "I am soooo doing (or getting) this..." Luickly, I pay attention to these marketing schemes. But do you think people actually make money off these internet based services that claim to make people into millinaires (even though the fine print says "individual results vary"). Hmmmm?

Maybe it is their hope that you are asleep on the couch and they subliminally pound a message into your head that you NEED their product. Even my kids, when they see a commercial for "Sham wow" or something like that, come to me and say MOM! You NEED that! They are easily influenced. These infomercials have a definitive call to action, which is the part that gets into your head and makes you take action. Before you whip out your credit card, count to 10, and then change your mind!

On the sham wows. A supervisor at work got something very similar to it at Wal-mart I think and they bought and use several at work for general cleaning and spills. And she showed how absorbant they are....I just don't know about how safe it is with germs and all that...kinda like spnges I stopped using them years ago b/c they spread bacteria.... But the subliminal thing is real because if I had active credit cards I think I would have been dialing as I woke up.

I actually studied this last semester in my marketing class. We learned that those infomercials (mostly the ones where you have to invest some money to work from home and make millions) are on tv in the middle of the night to influence the people who are awake and can't sleep. A lot of times people are awake in the middle of the night (the ones that can't sleep) because they just can't sleep because of financial or job issues... so they are the perfect audience. The infomercials give a lot of false hope for people who need a change in their life or more income.

I have no problem about tv and infomercials simply because I have no tv and no one bothers me in the morning. I can meditate quietly until it's time to get up. Cheers!!

If I going to get rich with this then show everybody, not just the 3:00am crowd. I don't believe it, if its too good to be true then it probably is.

I don't believe most of them. I've gotten some of those "As Seen On TV" things in the stores and a lot of them don't work like they say. I don't like to watch infomercials much.

A lot of people are gullible, and that's how they make their money. You have to admit, though, some things they're trying to sell seem so cool & their claims are SO convincing! So it's easy to fall prey to those types of schemes.
