I'm not getting points for starting new discussions

So i've started some new discussions today and i have a response on them but my number hasnt gone up at all. Im not understanding that. Do you know why this is happening? Do you know what i need to do so that number will go up?

I didn't realize that numbers go up from starting discussions, but it's been helpful reading this thread! There have been times, however, where I begin a discussion at, say, 185, and when I post it, my number goes down to 184, and then back up again the next time I reply to someone else's discussion. Not sure if that's happened to anyone else, but maybe it's tied in? Just a thought. Happy mylotting!

I thought it takes till the next day for your numbers to reflect the work you discussed on myLot.
